One more day and I'm officially on vacation. Again I really don't know what to expect truthfully. Seems everywhere it is the same thing. Depends on who you talk to. Some say the rut is just about to take off, others say it is well underway. Seems to be split right down the middle. I'm going into it planning on lockdown happening, without cams out or enough sightinga where I hunt I don't know what movement has been like while I am not there and especially at night. The big heat wave that wrecked my initial vacation plans never really panned out, in fact the first half of the days have been what I would call optimal. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. No excuses, my bed has been made and now it's time to lay in it. This was the vacation I originally had planned, so I am still highly optimistic, and it will be nice not having to compete with the moon on making a stealthy entry. In reality I am only missing 3 days of a 17 day hunt in what should be primetime. Sounds a whole lot better when I think of it like that.
By Monday night, Multiple arrows will be bloody from members of this team. COUNT on it. Cold front coming and the peak days of November 7th-10th. It is time to kill.
