Is your brother hunting him as well? Good luck getting on him, he'll be getting stupid shortly. Just have to be there to capitalize

Made up my mind, Halloween weekend begins my private land hunting. I can play it smart, hang a stand or two and hopefully take a doe.

A doe will be first priority,as I know once my vacation starts it is buck or bust and does are just breathing decoys and will probably get a pass.

Playing next weekend by ear, weather dependent for one last prerut public land go.

Few small bucks and a handful of does this weekend for me. I'll be headed down to Vernon Co. WI for the next two weekends. It will be my first chance to harvest a doe this season. I'll be shooting the first one that steps within 60 yards. I've got some pretty good bucks on cam down there so I'll be picky more than likely.

I have been looking into a affordable, light weight and packable climbing stand. The one I have come down too is the API Marksman. What are your thoughts on it or is there a better one out their? In that price range.

Don't know much about API stands. Looks pretty decent. The only thing I would be worried about is the cross bar on the top half. My experience says it's not easy to shoot sitting down with that bar, but if you've haven't had that problem in the past you should be ok.

I really liked my lone wolf just can't justify dumping that much cash on one at the moment.

After seeing Tony's thread, all the responses amd thinking back to a lot of my complaints during my normal vacation time I switched it up.

Am now starting my vacation on the 30th of Oct. through Nov. 8th and will have the 13th-15th as back up before the orange army invades.

    Thanks Tony, I hope

Think I might pay a visit to private land this weekend. Probably sot a morning hunt in a safe locale and hang my lonewolf.

I know exactly where I want it, perfect tree but it is surrounded by briars, very thick briars  with a weeks rest I may be able to prune a trail to it.

Been reliving some moments in the past years live from the stand threads, I'm positive I have made the right vacation choice.

No doubt in my mind the opportunity will present itself. Just need myself to put everything together for that magical moment. I love this stuff!
