Damn, hopefully you were able to find the arrow or some sort of sign.

Good luck in the search and hopefully you've already found her. 50+ on a coyote, hopefully 36 was more of a chip shot.

So I found the arrow no blood. Lots and lots of hair so I'm guessing just shot low and gave her a hair cut. I aimed low thinking she was gonna duck do to the high winds and she looked ski dish and didn't even move a muscle.

High winds they can't hear real good... When they are far away, they don't hear as well... Sounds like a minor wound...there bshould be blood somewhere on the arrow

Cls, Season 5, episode 20 is what he looked like last year. Don't have any 2015 pics loaded on this computer. He's pretty much the same this year. 6 year old I think, pretty sure he was a 3 year old when I passed him in 2012.

Tonight was a big let down, not a single deer seen by me. Buddy seen a small 6, different from last Saturday's sighting, but no other deer.

My stand is so uncomfortable I ended up climbing down and sneaking my way up to the cut corn edge. Got hunkered down and not a single deer came out. Heard a doe blowing a good ways away do knew it wasn't me. On the way out a new blind was put up 2 inside corners down. Seen an older guy walkig in as we were walking out, he set that blind up and his two boys were in it. Said they had 2 does come out. Guessing that was what I heard blowing.

Anyhow, notbsure what to think. This field I would think would be a deer magnet. Plenty of loose corn and half picked cobs littered throughout. On he eastern edge the whole length of it, probably 3/4 of a mile to a mile in length 1-3 rows of corn left standing most with full ears still attached.

I just can't make sense of it, unless they are completely nocturnal they should be hitting this field. Should be a heck of a spot late season I would guess, or until it's chisel plowed.

Think I'm going to change it up again. Sit on the ground in one of the standing corn edges. Friend is going to bring a stool for me to sit on.

I just don't know what to do, this public land stuff is a bit rough

4am comes early, going to trow my clothes in the drier and head to bed.

Should I wear the boonie hat or wait for my rutcation on unpressured land?

So I'm set up in a stand close to the road. Didn't feel like walking in to far this am cause if I did shoot one it would be a 8 hour drag. So I'm hunting over a small food plot. Probably gonna hunt till 8-830 but it's better then no hunting! 25 degrees should have the deer moving!

Also hoping I might see a ruffed grouse or two and try to get a kill filmed on camera!

Last weekend was 84 degrees I saw 20 deer in one sit ... It's 36 and I have seen 4 way across the field about 600 yards away seems they don't like to be chilly

Ended up sitting til 10 this morning and saw around 20 does and some yearlings mixed in one 2 year old 8 that's been hitting the scrapes. He was pushing the does around a bit went into the timber with them then he came running back out looking behind him. The does didn't spook at all so I'm thinking a bigger buck might have been in there and had him scared. Back in the same stand this evening I'm hoping they show up a little closer this time they have been using this field pretty heavily in the evening. This morning was the first time I've sat here in the AM. I have trail cam pics of two good bucks about 30 yards from my stand hoping one makes an appearance tonight.

Not that we get anymore points but another one bites the dust had 29 does in the field at one point tonight picked the biggest one had no fawns with her and let the NAP do its job ran 20 yards need to take a few more does off this place really there's a ton out there and I live off deer meat so that works out for me
