Didn't measure the knurls , I measured above them and used a small cable and then measured cable on the ruler .. I was shocked myself that they measured what they did

Just took a 57 yard shot on a coyote. I think I hit him just in front of the hind quarter but we will see when I get down to see what that rage chisel tip did. He tore off and lost sight of him think I heard him crash.

Had a doe come in at 30 yards move to the close side of the pond a 23 yards. Hard quartering away then continued to bust and took off. 10 min later had another coyote come through at the base of the tree wasn't able to get a shot. Went to drop my filming gear and stand off at the truck and going back in to try and find the coyote.

Congrats DTH and Wack. More points for the winners. On a sad note(Sad because I'm an idiot!) I drove down to IL on Monday to hunt for a couple days, got all way to knox Co. and realized I forgot my BOW! Hopefully won't do that again. On a good note, all the bucks I was hunting last year are still alive including 'Times 4' He's the mainframe 12(with 4 splits last year and looks like 3 this year) that I bounced an arrow off of last season on Nov 1st. I will be back down there for an extended hunt starting probably 10/29. Heading Northern WI for the trapping opener this weekend to trap a bobcat hopefully. Will probably hunt a few sits up there as well. Possible snow up there tomorrow. Good luck all.

    Ouch!

I've never forgotten my bow(knock on wood), have gotten halfway to the property when I realized I didn't grab my hunting clothes. Gotten all the way up in the stand and realized my release was in the truck.

While those U-turns were manageable, couldn't imagine that long of a trek ending like that.

Hope you get another crack at Times 4, sounds like a brute. Any pics you can share?

Well I found my arrow very little blood followed the blood I had till the fence line where I lost the blood. Thinking he tucked in the tall grass so I'll look tonight before a go out! Taking the climber again.

Yote, he's putting a lot more effort into it than I would.

Coyotes are the one thing I'll take pop shots at, shoot when branches/bushes are in the way etc.

Their was a lot of brush in the way. I just wanted to find it so it doesn't start stinking up the area. If u have ever shot a coyote and let it lay you know what I mean. Them things stink!

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. Shot one a few years back about 6 yds from the stand. Got down and tossed it over the hill side SW of my stand about 25yds away.

Every warm spell that brought SW winds after that reminded me of why I need to drag them further away

Hoping to get out Friday evening but the job site I'm taking over is so unorganized who knows if I'll get through all this mess. But Friday and Saturday are looking good weather wise to see some deer on the move here. Gotta love when someone decides to quit and leave a mess. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1444936162.612543.jpg

Just took a 36 yard shot at a doe. Might have missed might have put it right in the pocket. Not 100% sure. The nocturnal didn't light up. The doe took off like a bat out of h*ll. so I'll wait till dark to go see. Sadly didn't have the camera on.
