Went out opening morning ( 9-12 ) got setteled in and around 8:05 had a doe & 4 point walk by at 27 yards ( no shots ) , stayed in till 11 am , got back in different stand at 2pm and while pulling my bow up had 3 doe's come on to a corn pile , all I could do was watch .. at 5:30 had a small deer ( I thought it was a doe ) come in to 20 yards and my itchy trigger finger got the best of me , turned out to be a button buck ..he will taste mighty good on the grill :-)

    Awesome! Congrats on the success.

Do you have or can you take another picture with yourself, the bow and the deer? Fitz will have to rule on it, it's the same deer, bow and boot but not sure if it needs the face as well

Also need the time of kill added to the entry.

Congrats on the deer, but it will not count as you are not in one of the pictures....

Everyone else on team 6, please...for the sake of the team have 2 different pics with you, the deer, and your bow in BOTH of the pictures in the scorecard...DTH, I hope you can take another one...

It's all good, are you limited to two deer? If not and you shoot another antlerless or two bucks, you can use either the 2nd buck or next antlerless for the 50 points.

Only your first buck kill is limited to first entry. Go ahead and throw time of kill on your entry post and let Fitz decide, guessing it won't count though.

One other thing, since most of us hunt and recover by our lonesome.

If you have a smartphone, there are plenty of free camera timer apps on both the playstore and app store. On the Android, I am using the one called camera timer, and on my iphone I had one but can't remember the name

Anyhow, the ones I used have multi shot features and could do up to like 5 shots and set the interval between shots. Find something to prop your phone up and get the deer in the picture then scramble to get into the frame

Might take a couple tries, but will get the shots you need when no one else is available to take them. Just blink fast and shift a bit and you should end up with two different pics.

Oh well , if it counts it does , if not so be it ,, dont understand the 2 pic deal anyways .. 1 or 2 isn't gonna change the fact that I killed the deer .. this is the only hunting forum that requires 2 ..

I feel your pain, John. We have a wolf pack that runs the ridge to the backside of our property. Deer numbers in our area are way down.

No biggy on the points, gives you a good excuse to shoot more deer, that is of coarse assuming you could make good use of the meat.

My season will hopefully start this weekend around home. My wife and I bought a cabin with some acreage in the UP this spring, so I've been working like a maniac to get that place ready to hunt. 1st property I have had to hunt where I make all the rules. It feels good.

Dth we got your back brother. You warmed up the season for the team. Let's get after it and knock some more deer down.

    Long season left.
