Just a reminder, you need 2 photos for the score card.

Again good work on getting it done early!

Went out this morning, saw nothing until 8:45 am had a spike and a forker both in velvet walk by. Then a real small doe which I should have nailed but decided to wait for a bigger doe.

10 mins. later a big ole nanny came by but she had a fawn the size of a housecat)))) decided not to kill the nanny cause the fawn was still feeding off the mother, must have been a late spring birth.

Heading out this afternoon and YES I packed my camera this time....LoL

My night class got canceled tonight, so I went out to the farm to see if I could get some glassing in. Got about halfway there and realized I had forgot the video camera. I walked about a hundred yards off one of the farm roads and took up an evening post along the edge of a beanfield. Since I was on the ground I couldn't really see more than 100 yards out into the field.

I saw some does and 1 buck that I had on camera (small 6 pointer) around 6:30 as they fed about 50 yards from me. At 6:45 I caught the brief glimpse of a large buck coming over the horizon. A quick shot from my binocs showed it was the big boy I had on camera with the G-2 Flyer coming off it. He never got too close, and dipped down into a finger running out into the field.

I couldn't see where he entered the field from where I was sitting, but I feel that he may be bedding in a thicket not far off the field edge. All the corn and most the beans should be out by the Oct. 1st opener, as long as we have some good weather.

Well, the truck is loaded and I'm outta here for a couple of days in Wisconsin. Might even stay Monday if I have to. :tu:

High of 60 tomorrow, so who knows, might see some deer?
Can't wait to be in a stand again!
    Have a great weekend guys

Well no big bucks yet for me. I am in the thick of doe's though. Considering the property I am hunting I guess that I should consider myself lucky having already taken and seeing as many deer.

I just have to keep these doe's around by not over hunting the area until the big boys come trolling for love))))

I did see alot of deer in the past four days, just no shooter bucks.

Hmm, this fella may have some potential. Wish I had a frontal shot of him so I can see his mass.

    Further investigation is required)))
