Don't worry bro...I almost feel guilty that I haven't added a buck to our score.

Saturday afternoon I'm right back out there:rock:

Hey teamies, it's Will borrowing Rocky's computer. I'm having a blast up here, well minus the cold... I can do without that. I've had two full day sits and have seen five bucks (no does again). I let the first little dude walk past; he was a small 2x3. The second buck was a very respectable 140 to 150 class monster. He stuck to thick cover and I tried in vain to find a gap (I wanted to kill him in the worst way). He eventually trotted away. The third buck got a pass also. I had him at five yards under my stand...he made great video material (show everyone when I get back). The fourth buck...he was one of those "Oh my God" buck! He was cruising somewhere and never gave me a shot-I ranged him from 35 yards for a split second. I never really had a chance to pick up my bow. The fifth buck busted me as I was climbing down tonight. I still do not know how he slipped in behind without me seeing him. They're sneaky that way. And one last thing...the deer here are hogs. I have never seen deer with such massive bodies. Can you imagine 400 pounds of white-tailed deer walking towards you? It must be from all that Canadian beer ,eh?

Rocky has been an awesome host. It has been a pleasure hunting with him. Helping him today with his buck was over the top. I'll need to send Cavan Sullivan more Timber Vally Fresh Scent Testimonials/photos. Rocky shot his buck directly under a wick loaded with "4-play". Another buck fell to the smell of love! We'll be back at it tomorrow...

Talk to you boys tomorrow. hope everyone is well and hunting hard!

    All the best!

Sounds like your having a blast up north Will. Good luck, and I can't wait to see the pics you have to share with us.

Guys I'm back out there again tomorrow afternoon after I get off. I have no idea where I want to hunt, and probably won't decide until I get out there.

Today is opening gun season. Guess I will crawl up in my treestand and see if anything gets pushed my way this afternoon. I will be taking the bow, so hopefully the deer recognize my little 60 acres as a safe zone and come in slow and not screaming by in a full run))))

Best of luck out there guys....had a late night myself. Seems my dad decided to let some air out of a buck on his property. I got the phone call and headed there after work. Caught up to the buck and had to back out for two hours to let him expire. Made for a late night getting home after work. I will post pics after. Not a monster as he is a young deer. After talking to Dan I realize that at my fathers age its not about QDM. I was a little miffed honestly about him shooting a 2.5y/o buck but hey....whatever makes him happy right..thanks for pointing that out to me Dan. Who sed ya can't learn something from someone younger than ya LOL
Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.
    Good luck out there guys!!

A big strikeout for me for me this afternoon.

I just kind of picked a new spot today, and was surprised to find many rubs on a small, brushy point. I got sat up, but didn't see a deer.

I did however spot a dead buck from my stand on the next ridge. I could barely see it through my binocs, and walked over to it after shooting light expired. He was chewed up really bad, and it's a shame. Half his left beam is gone, and all the tines have been chewed on. He had great mass though, and his bases were a tad under 6", with an inside spread of around 17". He looks like he would of been a great 10 pointer had all his rack been there. I really wish I would have ran across his rack was ruined.

Here's a picture of it I took with my cell phone, but you can't really tell just how big the buck may of been.

I was thinking about this today while sitting in the stand. Every single one of us has put at least 1 deer down towards our score. IMO, that is unbelievable to get that kind of support from all of us.

I would have to agree, that I think we will all be part of Tineacious for next fall too:woot:

I'm back in the stand tomorrow morning. Headed back to the only spot I have seen consistent deer movement so far this year. I've got some work to do on the parents house after the morning hunt, but hopefully I'll get it wrapped up to get back out for the afternoon.

I was thinking about everyone contributing today while sitting in the stand. It is quite an accomplishment, in Nebraska the statistics come in that around 25-30% of bow hunters are fill a tag. Granted with this site you would expect a higher percentage but even then I would think 60% maybe... not 100%. Great work guys!

I took a friend and my son out hunting this afternoon and it almost paid off big. I had a true giant come in right at dark, he had the woods scrambling when he showed. He came in blowing and snorting, I grunted a couple times and snort wheezed. After he chased off every deer in the woods he worked downwind of me and closed to around 50 yards. After a few minutes of quiet he about knocked me out of the stand with a LOUD snort wheeze. Unfortunately I never got a full look at him to be able to say for sure what he had going but just how he blew up the woods told me enough.

My alarm went off at 2:00 this morning, but I woke up feeling terrible. I drug myself out of bed, but didn't make it far before I decided that I better not try to climb up in a stand.

I did make it out this afternoon though. Had a nice little hunt, and let 2 small 1.5 yr olds walk by. I would of killed a doe, but never even saw one.

I might be able to sneak out for a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon hunt, but gun season opens back up Thursday-Sunday.
