it would be cool if we could all stay together for next year, and the years to come! guess i need to get out there and arrow a buck huh?
By my count, Team 7 just kept pace with us, unless I skipped over something. We still have a great lead, but it's no time to let up. One of us 5 with buck tags still in hand, needs to put something down I will echo the rest of you, in saying that this has been a great team to be on. We WILL be doing this again next year.

Wish me luck...supposed to get chilly....hope the wolves havent found her yet Will let ya know the outcome boys!!

BTW......tomm. will be my first hunt in almost a full week...........I am going after Hightower ( big high g2,g3 buck), Bigtime10 ( not as high as hightower but a dandy 10 point) or TheGhost ( big non-typical I saw last week). All Big mature bucks named by my boys)))) I will be sending my mojo by telepathy to those who need to tag)))) mojo mojo mojo mojo mojo........shoot..............lol Hunt hard gents, it will happen, I HAVE FAITH !!!!! Be safe and hunt hard Dave
This is a great team, no doubt about it. I'm glad I landed on a team with, not just good hunters, but true sportsmen. Now, to those that have'nt scored yet, GO KILL SOMETHIN!! Good luck! Fred
Well guys I shot a buck last night just after sun down, we tracked for just a few minutes to make sure we had good blood and then backed out due to the terrain. I have meetings this morning but will be heading out to pick up the search after lunch with my son and a buddy. He's no giant but probably right in the range of what I was looking for. It was a long shot, 45-50 yards, that looked to be a lung/liver hit, not a pass through. It is definitely a lethal hit, good red blood but not real heavy. Hopefully we can find him before the yotes do. I'll let you know tonight.
Well that was a long night....His great blood trail was 2 beds and maybe 50 drops of blood between the two. I did happen to pick it up again 100yards away where she slipped and fell. Trail did not make sense to me...more of meandering thru the woods...not trying to evade. Found 3 more beds with blood in them. Lost trail around 11:30 ( I think we kicked her up again...11hours after he shot ) One last pin head of blood 150yards from her last bed....She booked it onto a hillside where it looked like they had a deer dance party. Talkin to him on the way home he mentioned...I guess I should have put the 2nd shot into her..... I was like WTF?!?! you had time for a 2nd shot...yeah he sez.. Told him...if she didnt take the dirt nap on the 1st shot...put the 2nd one into her. Live and learn. Stay frosty out there boys!!! God knows I was last night lol
I knew you were going to get your chance! Best of luck on the track, and hopefully we see some pics tonight!!!
Matt, congrats and I know there's a good end to this! You must tell us the outcome ASAP! I'm on a plane to Edmonton at 6:55pm. Text if necessary....I'm dying to know! 303-434-2052 Yippy skippy...we're gonna win! Reese, you did the best you could. You're a good friend. Slow your bud down and reign him in a little.
