Captain... anyone but me. Team name.... I'm not that creative. Tineacious for some reason caught my eye.
Yep Scott, you be the captian and I'll co-pilot this craft. I'm good at pushing people to do a little more than normal. How about "Sneaking Suspicions" for a team name. I'm a believer, are you? Get him Scott!
Well, I'm off to So.IL to move some stands, shoot the bows, and do a little fishing. Also meeting with a local there to cut some roads on the property, it is seriously overgrown. Have a great weekend team! Oh, and I got last years buck back from the taxi and I love it!
Fred, that's a great looking deer, thanks for sharing. I'd like to see what everyone else has shot if you would like to post some pictures. I'll post some here in a bit. Scott you have my vote as captain. Can't think of any team names at the moment. Clint
Got this with a rifle, it was a typo that was never corrected to say bow... And got this little guy last year with a bow, I'm holding out this year for something bigger.
My definition of dedication = Two lower wisdom teeth pulled at 3:30 in the afternoon. Left dental office and went to woods to pull and replace all my SD cards in my camera's one last time before season starts. Wife claims I am crazy))))). BTW, I am good with any name you guys want. BuckMaster, how do you like the ultimate camo? I purchased a set this summer and I am very interested to see how well it works. Do you wear it all season or just early or late season? I generally use ASAT but wanted to give UC a try. Give me some insight on your experiences please. Thanks, Dave The ole man
Well fella's, treestand bound as soon I can get my arse outta work here. If I am lucky....this guy will walk by my stand. Crappy pic taken with my blackberry [/IMG]
Ultimate Camo works great all season, i LOVE the pattern, I feel like it truly give me an advantage, AS long as I'm in a tree... I wear it as long as I can, BUT when it get's too cold, I'll pull out the ASAT....
On my hit list ohhh in about 5 or 6 years))). Wife saw picture and said" oh, what a cute little girl. I said " how you know it is not a cute little boy?" Hehe Dave
Cool picture Dave. I had one just like that come up to within 10 yds. last week while checking stands. I figured that it would be a tough deer to kill in a few years since it watched me climb up into two of my stands. It felt like I had a little friend tagging along. Reese, I hope you get that big dude. We've already seen quite a few more bucks around the place than in the past. Here's last years deer I got back from the taxi. last month. Clint
whatever name yall want is cool with me!!! tough to pick em. Scott, im sure you will be a great captain! mannnnnnnnnnn i cant wait till we can get out there!
Reese, I hope you put the big buck down. He is a dandy for sure. Here is the buck I killed last year. By far my biggest. Here is a view of my trophy room. The bucks on each end are mounts of my dad's.
I did make it out today to change my SD cards, and do some minor trimming to a stand. I am done with my prep work for now anyways. Out of my 5 cameras, 3 were busts for good bucks, 1 showed a full card (but both the camera and computer say its faulty), and the last just had nothing but good bucks, including 2 studs. Here are a few of the better ones.... This buck has been showing up in this part of the bean field for several mornings and afternoons. I need to see him with a hard rack for a little better judgement on him. This picture makes it a little hard to see the rack, but he is big. This guy is another younger deer, but he looks like he will be a good one. He has been showing up a lot too. Here is another big guy. Would LOVE to put an arrow through his lungs. Another good looking 9 pointer. And again a great looking 11 pointer. It's kind of hard to see much about him, but if you blow the picture up you can see he has a split brow tine.
Great deer Scott. What did that one weigh you shot last year? That thing looks huge. Looks like you got another good crop to choose from for this year too. Clint
The taxi put him on a scale at 214 field dressed. Those are the best group of pictures I have ever got with my trail cameras. You can't see it in the pics, but there is an oak tree to the left, along the field edge, that was loaded with deer tracks under it.
Those are some awesome bucks Scott! I just gained some access to 131 acres of land (106 acres of hay and 25 acres of woods) in North Carolina, so it looks if everything goes good, I may get to start hunting as soon as next week! I'm pretty pumped about that
The small property I hunt is driving me crazy. I have hundreds of pictures of doe's and fawns, not a single picture of a buck. I have a few pictures that show big bodied deer but no head shots. Hunting this property is a "pita", no food source for miles in any direction. I guess my best bet for a buck is to make sure the doe's hang around and draw in the bucks during the rutt. I KNOW there a bucks around, I can see the rubs all over the woods. Maybe my cameras are doe only cameras.....LoL. Least I can do is shoot a spike and get us uuuhhh 6 points)))) haha. Dave
