Guys I had a minor sight issue while shooting this weekend. My new pins were supposed to be in today, but were not here when I got home from work. Hopefully they are in tomorrow, or I will have to throw a backup sight on and get it ready to roll.

Either way I will be out there Friday afternoon. Got permission today from the boss at work that I am good to go that afternoon.

I sent the Kiwi (Scot Bevins) and the Ozzie (Grant Bowd) to South Dakota yesterday. I gave them Satellite images of my tree stand locations (the exact trees). They called today to let me know, "Will, we saw over forty deer yesterday evening and 60 deer this morning". This is all on public land! They actually hunted tonight. I haven't heard how they've done. I wish them the very best.

I 'm heading up to join them on Friday. I'll start hunting whities on Saturday.

Stay after it everyone! We have the other teams right where we want them...WORRIED!

Best of luck this weekend Will. It sounds like you are showing those 2 a heck of a time during their visit.

After seeing some of the pictures you guys posted and hearing some of the stories about your hunting grounds, I suddenly feel like the weak link in the chain here. Anyways, I will try not to shoot a doinker )))))))

I am hunting a total of 60 acres which is 3 properties joined together. Doing everything I can to keep the doe's around (live bait) so when the bucks start trolling. I figure that is my best bet for tagging a descent buck for my area. On a good note I finally got a really nice topo for the area and found what I thought should be a major travel/transition corridor.

Well I guessed right so far, snuck in and put a camera up sunday at 3pm. I snuck back in tuesday at 3pm to set my climber up and leave it for a friday hunt (landowner will keep an eye on it) anyways, 124 pictures in 72 hours !!!!!!

Of course alot of them are of the same deer but it proved out my theory that the deer are using a small bend in the creek (water only 5 inches deep) between two small ridges to transfer from one property to another as they feed and bed.

Giving it my best shot here fellas, hope not to let ya down.

    Old man
    Dave

Dave, no worries, sounds like you are doing all the right things. You have your doe down already, I'm yet to get that accomplished. Good luck!

Well guys, moving days are here for me...here are a couple of in town ( urban deer ) that we have running around. I am thinking that all of these guys are going to die of old age as there is a bylaw for no discharge of firearms ( this includes archery gear ) within the city limits. Welcome to Kenora, where the deer look both ways before crossing the streets LOL.

I just wish one of them decided to walk across the city line
Best of luck this weekend fella's.
I am moving/painting/reno'n the house for the next 3 weeks.
Might have a chance to sneak out for an evening sit ( crossing my fingers )

No worries Dave, you are out there giving it your best. Plus you already put a doe down. It's still very early, and there is a lot of time to get a buck.

Cool pictures there Reese. Best of luck with the new house, it can be a pain. We should be putting drywall up all over the parents new house here soon.

I'm ready to roll. I should be settled in a stand by 3 tomorrow afternoon. A NNW wind isn't ideal, but it's not terrible. I think I only have a short window to move in on that big buck, and I'm going for it.

Yep, the North winds are really screwing up my game plan .
So, I'm going to a different farm in the morning, then traveling 2 hours to another spot for the weekend.
I'm ready to roll, Good luck to all!!
