I have to wait one more week before I can go after my second bird! I will be calling for a couple of buddies this weekend, so we will see how that goes! I will update you guys with pics and videos of this season once I get everything in order, I am still missing a few pics! This season has been unreal so far for me...A lot of first for me, hopefully I can top it off with my first bow kill!

My season is pretty much wrapped up unfortunately. I believe the last day of the last season is tomorrow morning. I just got done with my final exams about an hour ago, and I think I'm going to stay here at school for a couple more days and unwind. The turkeys didn't cooperate too well for my dad and I this year unfortunately. Good luck Jim and Zimmer!

Well I'm back. The birds wouldn't cooperate. They ran away from calls, didn't come near decoys, and wouldn't gobble once they hit the ground. I had one big gobbler come in to 40 yards but he wouldn't cross the fence into the corn field. I ended up trying to kill one Saturday evening without a blind.....big mistake. If I would of had a blind I easily could have killed 4 different gobblers and 6 jakes at under 10 yards but they all came up from behind me and busted me at 8 yards. I'm still kicking myself for that one. I did shoot a jake Sunday morning at 30 yards but couldn't find him or a blood trail of any kind. I think I hit him a hair low and back. I was sick the whole way home about it yesterday. Anyway, we had a blast and thats all that matters.

Well guys, I just want to say im sorry I couldn't contribute a bird to our team. I did shoot another bird on the last day of my season on the 16th of May! I had a tough time making it happen again this year with my bow! Hopefully next year, I can get it done...I learned a lot this spring, so hopefully it will help next spring! Although, I did have a successfull season, I was able to call in multiple birds for a few family members and friends! I will post pics as soon as I can get them.
