SLOW this evening, which i thought was gonna be a great sit.
If I would have checked a cam before getting into the stand we may have had some buck point (although not alot)

I seen 1 deer and he snuck up behind me.
    He's a HOG boddied 8pt.
He was at 7_8 yards while walking behind me.
I drew but only had maybe 2 seconds to decide.
I don't care about score so much anymore but rather a fully mature buck.
He's maybe 130 on the high side but he's a freaking tank.
    I didn't shoot.
Checked a cam over a mock scrape while leaving and he was working it at 6a.m. this morning.
He looks like an old buck.

Not sure whether to be optimistic or bummed?
A buddy killed a net 169 1/2 mile north from where I was tonight a few nights ago and his nephew killed a " what it sounds like" a bigger one last eve 1/2 mile east of the same spot.
I've been surrounded by good bucks but?...
Don't matter anymore, I just enjoy the chit outta seeing big/old bucks go down.
wrapping my hands around big bone gives me "wood":ninja:

Nice. Im headed out in an hour or so. Going to do something a little different. Found an old two track down on the low ground creek area. It had scrapes open even this past summer. Gonna slip in there tonight and see if something is working down low. If no sign then Ill move up to higher ground.

Good luck bucks. I'm all set up. Cut a long scrape line and tracks.

Hell, you had a better sit than I did.
3 coyotes came and totally blew out the deer in the woods tonite.
Had such high hopes only to have them squashed!

But hey man, you seen deer:cool:

Gotta admit, I have prime private stuff to hunt. Spoiled that way.
I consider it a poor sit if I don't have a deer within 20 yards.

Where is the rest of our team?
    Couple seem to be awal.

Trying to get up early in the morning and hunt a spot I found in the winter.

My boy shot one last night, said hit was back. Gave him the night to die before we go look! Headed in at 11am should be good and sick if he isnt dead. Fingers crossed the dog walks us to him!

The high temps continue. 75 to 80 every afternoon. Looks like a cool down late next week. Finally.
