Heading to Ohio for the long weekend trimming stands. Also have a few that need pulled and a few new sets to hang. Think i'll hang a few cams to, just sucks i can't check em till november. Of course its going to be Mid 80's to 90 all weekend and i'm sure i'll come home with poison oak i always do.
Carroll county. I've had it really bad a few times. Now i make sure i wear long sleeves and gloves when in the brush or climbin tree's.
After seeing my boy, Troy with that beauty he put down yesterday .... I am DYING to get out there! When can you guys start hunting? October 1st for me Snake will be hitting it this weekend .... what about the rest of you?
I have been MIA for a few days at the cabin prepping for bear season that opens tomorrow and doing some fly fishing. No cell/ internet at the cabin so I had to run to town to get some work done. Avatars look awesome! Thanks for putting those together, Tony. Checked cams up here yesterday, a few regular does and a small 4 point. My goal for NH is at least a doe until I learn more about hunting big woods. Deer here tend to stay up in the mountains until the snow starts to fall but the cabin is located in a valley that should be ideal as the season progresses. I really just hope to put meat in the freezer in NH and to also put a bear down. Deer season opens the 15th, but I'm crazy pumped to sit for the next few days at the bear site. My good buck prospects are dependent still on getting permission to hunt in MA and a successful trip to KS. I'll check in again next week once I am back in civilization.
Guys, just a reminder ...... take 2 pictures, slightly different showing you, the deer, and your bow in BOTH pictures or it won't count ... now ...... LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!!
Well my plans changed again. I won't be hunting Kentucky now. I had to choose between there and Illinois.I got a piece of private ground to hunt in Illinois so I am gonna do that. I can't pass up having this kind of place to hunt in Illinois.
