Team 6 - Silent But Deadly

Leaving work to get in a tree....this SE wind will be pushing it, but if that doe comes from my left, I should be able to smack her before she gets my wind .... off tomorrow as well and will be hunting all day.....

I got a text from Chris! He starts hunting tomorrow :D

Had a very nice sit tonight ... I saw two squirrels that would rival a fawn in size....

Saw a nice fox kinda far .... blew kisses to him and he came to within 15 yards .... busted me when I drew back to slice his lungs open ... he didn't spook bad...just kinda walked around me as we played the kissing game.

4:10pm ... a small deer came from my left at a steady pace, passing me at 10 yards ... I thought it was a button buck???? Not 30 seconds later I hear grunting coming from the same spot ... scrubby looking 6 point trailing her/him grunting the whole way .... it was fun watching them...

nothing else until I was walking out and kicked a deer up that was in the green field that last years cows used to be....

 

I'm getting my gear ready for Kansas tonight. Leaving Thursday morning early. Can't wait! NYMark, can't wait to see what you put down. Chart, looking forward to seeing a Kansas monster from you too! :D Good luck fellas. Tony, shoot a big doe would ya?

So....1 decent eight pointer this morning @10 yards and zero the rest of the day ....

Chris and Mark are hitting it hard and I am expecting a BBD text tomorrow

 

Tony, I just posted the doe on the score card...not sure if we were supposed to let you know or not.

I'll be heading a little west this weekend in SD for a 3 day hunt. The land has some massive bucks on it and the rut is heating up. Hoping to see a few bruisers and if the stars line up, maybe get a shot at one. Goodluck to everyone!

Mark is getting some incredible action ,,, passed a 120"8 today and was SO close to a monster 8 many times..

I saw one deer this morning at 60 yards in thick stuff that wouldn't come in ... hunted till 1pm and then out to get ready for dinner plans..

Chris is seeing a lot of movement and his buddy killed a 160 class buck already...

Jerry is playing with little bucks...

First hunt in Kansas today. Warm and breezy...saw three small bucks and a doe this morning and two does tonight. Also saw a 140+ buck at 10am off the highway literally on the edge of town snooping around. Supposed to get cold tomorrow night so business will hopefully pick up.

 

Oh yeah, you just wait till Sunday. I think it will be the bees knees whereabouts are you in KS? I'm in Manhattan
