Good deal and best of luck! I won't be back out until next Friday. Anyone else doing any hunting? Haven't seen a lot of reports from the team.

Not much to report here saw two small bucks and a bunch of doe over the weekend. Only deer in bow range was a tiny six point. Sat. morn had some bucks grunting 50 yards behind me couldn't see em. Need to move my stand there it was a new hang so still learning the movement.

Ricky, where in Mass are you located? I lost the area I hunted in Mass last year. I had to move. I live in Natick now but have been doing all my hunting up in Norther NH at my cabin. I'd like to hunt in Mass, but I'm still not overly familiar with good locations/ where I'm even allowed to hunt in the eastern part of the state.

Soooooo ready to get back into a stand. I'm heading to Illinois Friday to hunt all day with my brother. Hopefully we will at least put a couple of does down.

Well, it is over .... I called my boss on the way home from the funeral luncheon and asked him if I could take a PTO day tomorrow ... I really need to decompress ... and no better place to do that than in a tree....

So no one killed me a deer?

Sorry about everything Tony, it's always a tough ordeal. Getting back into the woods will do you some good. There is no better place to clear your head than sitting in a tree. As for the deer, I'm going crazy wanting to get back in the woods. I am heading to hunt 700 acres of private property my brother has access to in IL. He is the only person that is allowed to bowhunt there (other than being able to let me tag along) and there are some real bruisers roaming the property along with a ton of does. We are gonna get into the middle of all the acorns and see what we can find. Maybe we can find some antlers to drag out.

Last year was my first year. I hunted on private land just outside of Boston that had some nice bucks. Had one around 130" this year I was excited about but I had to move. I took a 7 point my last hunt of the season on that property last year. That's my only experience in Mass. I helped a buddy scout in Lancaster earlier this year and thought about hunting out there with him. Might get one sit out there but other than that I probably won't hunt Mass much. I was banking on that private land and was working on patterning the deer there. I wish I had scouted more in other parts of the state because my cabin is a 4 hour drive and it'd be nice to hunt closer to home. Living in Natick is temporary, I can't wait to move to a little bit of land.

Thanks guys ... I will have some glory shots and story up in a little ... after last Wednesday watching my Father-in-law die, and being a major player with helping get his affairs in order and then burying my Father-in-law yesterday ...I called my boss and asked for today off ... he said yes ... my goal was to shoot a deer, any deer for him ... the story is a good one ... the rack prolly won't break 50 points ... but this was one of my most emotional and satisfying kills ..... stay tuned...
