Nice bucks. You have to be happy that there is some daytime movement.

Yea its definitely good to see some in daytime. Actually saw the 6 pointer fourth pic this morning chasing a doe. Hoping for a chance at the last one, been chasing him all year. Had a lot of pics through summer then he disappeared.

Well boys as much as I hate morning actually had good morning today. Got out early and while it was too dark to see had a big bodied deer go about 30 yards right in front of stand. Couldn't tell what it was though. Then right after day break had a spike work in behind me and play around in the crick. He moved off and I turned around to find a big doe had worked her way into the corn field amd was coming toward me. Watched her move over to the scrape I have my cam on then turn and start walk around the edge of field torward me. Right at last moment she walking into treeline and was gone. Didn't see much elsefor awhile. Was actually contemplating leaving because got cold, as I was checking surroundings noticed some deer moving through a crp field in mu direction. Ended up being a fork horn and a doe, then moved onto corn field about 100 yards away and were milling around until a pretty nice looking 6 pointer came out. Pretty sure its the one in the fourth pick above. He just stood there watching the doe for awhile, I tried grunting at him to no avail. Had no intentions of shooting so figured I'd practice a little. Next thing I know the bigger buck chased off the fork and he and the doe came hauling tail in my direction. Couldn't get them to stop and they made it to tree line. For the next 30 minutes they chased eachother around untilI lost sight of the doe. The buck paced around for awhile until finally walking off and that ended my morning.

Overall it was a really good sit and if its anything like last year on the farm its a sign I need to be hitting it hard the next couple of weeks and try to outsmart one of these bucks. Pretty pumped to say the least. As for thr mystery deer, it did walk by my camera on field edge so I'll know what it was before long.

Here he is. Rattled at 6:55 this am and he came in behind me. I drew but never got a shot. He turned and went up behind me and when he was about 60 yards I grunted. He turned and looked but kept going. A few more grunts and a few minutes later he committed. At 25 yards he presented a slightly quartering to shot. I believe at the shot he turned into it. Hit him in the base of the neck and it went into the chest and took out the lungs. I saw the lighted nock bury in him and watched him run up the hill. Then I saw him tumble down the hill. What a great morning! He's an 8 pt. his brow is busted off but has a 1" tine coming out of the base. Scores 120" on the nose.

Thanks guys. I'm in Western Pennsylvania. About 20 miles or so north of Pittsburgh.
    Both bases are 5" around.
