Just saw good frontal pic and it is a great buck let alone first. It is a "rob" buck as one side didn't quite grow like the other.

It turned around in a hurry.

The funny thing is that I am off work this week as I had planned on hunting the pre rut. I told my wife she should be very happy, because I won't be living in the woods this week.

Well just found out from Pops that someone (highly suspected individual) has cut and removed the hog fence gate the land owner/farmer put up on his property...it had a no trespassing sign and set easily 5-10 feet inside his property line. Moving cameras today or tomorrow to catch them messing with it again as the farmer is going to attempt to put it back up or put a new one up. The suspected person has been nothing but issues, trespassing/line hunting/and now destruction of property. We're informing the farmer/landowner to possibly call and make a report of it but not file any charges as it is all circumstantial right now...but so it's on record.....this crap pisses me off worse than poor shots and bad recovery stories...atleast those happen on people's ground or ground they legally can be on.

Nothing new on my end. I hunted all day Monday saw 10 doe and 1 small buck. zero signs of rutting activity. I'm off again Monday and the season closes the 16th in PA. Hope to get it done soon.

Been a tough week for me here in WI I did see 2 shooters on Sunday with 1 being creek buck but couldnt let an arrow loose.

Weather has been brutal with high winds and rain Got a couple more days here and tomorrow looks perfect.

Well fellas it's winding down for me. Hunted last Thurs. & Fri. and saw 1 really good buck and a handful of other deer but no shots. I'll be black powder hunting with my dad and brother a few days over the next couple weeks and then gun camp some days between Nov. 16 & Thanksgiving. This season has been OK, Ive seen and passed a bunch of deer but not getting to hunt a ton in Oct/Dec is not what I'm used to. My wifes due in December so I'm sure I won't be getting out much for our late bow season which is usually one of my favorite times to be out.

All that said I am sad to say I likely won't be contributing any points unless I drop something decent early on with the BP, if that happens I'll switch back to the bow and try to at least find 50 pts. I am the weakest link... :`-(

haha not at all brother, God may still find a doe for ya sometime and you may still make it out once or twice come late season. Either way just be thankful for the times out and embrace your little bundle of joy come birth!

What ya say team. Well its seems that pre rut is in full swing here in Ok an before u know it the real rut will be here but I'm already catching glimpses of bucks with there heads down chasin a lil bit so I'm gonna go sit in the a.m. from 6:30 to 12:00 an then again for an evening sit. So pretty hopeful that ill have a deer on the ground before the weekend is up. I have still not gotton any new pictures of my hitlist buck but I did see him in a crp field a day ago so he is in there I just nd to be in the right spot at the proper time. My goal is to put a doe on the ground first as I've yet to seal that deal but I think things will turn sround so wish me luck an safe hunting to you all.

Here by us bucks are moving A LOT...pops had the Wide9 move by him 2 hours before sunset....This was after a great young 7 came through...countless daytime trail pics and bucks moving nonstop it seems!! Pops is kicking himself for not being to make him stop but that boy wasn't even thinking about anything but finding some.

Well didn't get my butt outta bed this morning to go out so I went and checked my cams. Actually had some decent picks. Had some slight daytime movement. The bigger 9 had on came earlier has showed up. He was actually about 40 yards from my stand at 5 pm last friday, while I was sitting in ground blind across farm. The cam I put in corn field produced some good pics for only being out for a week. Couple good younger deer, one looks real nice, and at least one that's probably at least 3. Starting to eat up and its looking like may haveta start trying couple mid day sits or pull a all day sit. Had some movement during middle of day. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.
