Gonna try to head out in the morning. Hopefully have some luck. Still need to trim one stand where branch broke off and blocked everything. Thinking bout picking up another stand and putting it other end of corn field. Deer always seem to move through at that spot so we'll see.

Found out last night I'll be heading to my urban spot north of Indy this weekend. I'm hoping the cooler weather has the deer on their feet. Hopefully the crops are being harvested up that way as well.

Good news/bad news from the bow shop. My string stretched again, but the lady got me fixed up so I can hunt this weekend. I'm going to drop the bow off next week so that I can get a new string put on and hopefully end the stretching issues. Apparently factory strings are stretched as much prior to being put on the bow, so that leads to them stretching more than a custom string.

Up stand at riverbottom property where pops has seen two shooter 8s not knowing this place would be this good up top ridge only have a treelounge. Great for comfort and gun/crossbow hunting but not so much compound bow. Gonna have to be ninja stealth hunter when standing for shot.

Did have 4 does in hay field when got here at 1pm...they bed in a narrow strip between hay and county road....one feeds across to me they're freezer fillers!! Good luck anyone else out!! (Yesterday hunted morning at swamp prop and zilch)

Beautiful evening hunting public land. At 6:20 pm had a jack wagon walk up through the woods to the field I was hunting. Then he decided to set up not 30 yards away on the ground. A spike came out in to the field and he tried to grunt it in, then when it busted him he decided together up and walk off about 6:45pm. And the best part is he knew I was there I'm pretty sure

Went out and got my one stand trimmed again. Hopefully this will be it, as long as no more breal off ha. Either way it gives me another stand to sit in on a cut bean field. Not sure what it'll be like but next year it'll be corn so there's always that. Also ended up putting some wheat in another field that buts up to rye already there so that area should be decent for late season.

Didn't see much this morning but I'll be goin out again tomorrow afternoon and most of day Sunday.

Got rained out this morning. Hopefully I'll be able to get in the stand this evening.

I'm hoping the rain holds off here for an evening hunt. I got a feeling for tonight.

First sit tonight at homestead property just off our failed food plot (what did grow didn't fair too great)...close enough to bedding and in acorns no telling what may walk by.

Not at all this stand is all but 10 yards from horse field and just 40 yard walk to parents house...certain winds make it bout as little disturbing as one can have.

And to be honest this year is not looking like any spot needs saving...but been simply hunting least intrusive stands as much as possible...shoot I would take a doe tonight let alone a beast like you shot FB.
