Well didn't see much tonight except a little 3 pointer. He came into about 40 yards and coulda been shot a couple times but no need to waste buck tag on that. There's bigger ones running around farm. Was a pretty good night though. I'll be heading out in morning. Should be a good day tomorrow with the temps dropping.

Well guys yesterday was too hot, too storm filled and not best wind for early season stands...so I checked cams and spent time with the fam.

I'll be 100% honest with you guys, this year makes me wish we didn't have trail cameras. It's tough trying to overcome the negative feelings due to not getting really any shooters on cam pulls...not even night time wise. Pulled 10 cams spread out across 3 properties and again only does, turkeys and scrub yearling bucks that won't get shot by us. To date after the Feb/March photos which confirmed the big 3 (RD, AWD, Houdini) had lived and would/should sport their 140+inch headgear and then some this year....we have got all of two bucks which may be worthy of an arrow. And to make it worse, one of them showed up in late July but then vanished...and the next one just a couple weeks ago, but very briefly.

Add to that now we're getting pictures of trespassers more than big bucks and yeah discouragement sets in and I can't help but think if we didn't have trail cams I would be flying high with what "might" be out there...

Today will find me either in the living room or up a stand, the weather is going to be the primary decider. With bucks not showing their faces and it being early I'm not gonna push it and most of our S/SW wind stands are what I'd describe as our most "aggressive" locations and no sense burning the spots yet.

Keep it up fellas! Get out if you can and got a good set for the conditions!

Sorry I haven't been around much guys. Been hunting as much as I can but with the high 80's-low 90's last week I haven't had any luck. Acorns aren't dropping yet and deer haven't been moving near like normal. Cold front blew through last night but iv not gotten out today. Will try to get a couple evening hunts in this week but who knows how it'll go. Good luck out there guys

Jeffrey you get your doe in the scorecard thread yet? If not I can do it for you but I need a 2nd picture of you, your bow and the deer for it to count.

Remember fellas like my early messages stated and the competition rule page states be safe and make sure you get the required photos of you, your bow and the deer. Be safe take a ton. :)

Yeah that's what I meant didn't mean doe for you. Well fellas the rain appears it's going to let up enough to make it worthy of a sit....gonna go set at the swamp property. Unless a doe group comes up it's a buck only evening hunt...property owner wants us to hold off on shooting does there till late season. Hopefully that one eyed buck or one of the bigguns make their first hunting season appearance...either way be great to be on stand for sadly just the second time this season!!! Prolly be up around 4pm, good luck to everyone else going out!

Just got out for afternoon. Had two small bucks feeding in clover so had to wait on them to move on before getting to stand. This wind is sure swaying the tree I'm in. Gotta say not a fan.

Just add that second photo to your original posting in the scorecard thread and you should be good to go bud.
Also need to put Team 6, the date of harvest and the time of harvest (approximately if you don't know exact obviously)
