I have a relative down in Indy that has been attempting to get me on some urban areas for over a year now...great hunting chances if you can get a spot!

Went and had all my wisdom teeth cut out yesterday, so I had a couple free days on my hands. Finished up my homemade PVC pipe bow today and shot for it for a couple hours, very happy with it, 48lbs at 28" draw. As you all know, my season started on the 7th here in Ky. But hate the heat, snakes, spider webs, skeeters, SEED TICKS, no way I would get out there for a booner, just not worth it to me. Put 12 trail cams out back in Feb. on year round community scrapes, should be pulling and moving them around here in the next 4-5 weeks.

Had this guy at 20 yards Wednesday afternoon for over 10 minutes with no shot Only to have him walk back the way he came from and never give me an opportunity

I'd love to get down there at some point in hopes of getting a velvet buck.

I need to get an Indiana buck first. Hopefully this is the year.

Good luck guys. Went and pulled cards and pics are pretty low but the farm I hunt doesn't pick up until crop harvest starts. Bechecking cards later so hopefully got some good ones to share.

I checked the trail cam at my urban spot this afternoon. I had a couple of does show up around 9:00 this morning. I'm hoping they do the same thing tomorrow morning.

Beautiful morning to open the Indiana urban season...

Heard a deer blow and a commotion in the woods across the creek from me. Looked to my right a minute later...damn coyote. First one I've ever seen while hunting. Hopefully that doesn't ruin the rest of the morning.

Had the two does that were on the trail cam yesterday show up at the same time today. They were working their way towards me and I needed about ten more yards for a shot, but a squirrel crashed in a tree across the creek and spooked them. They turned around and trotted back the way they came. I guess that's why they call it hunting.

Here's some pics off the cams yesterday. Some decent pics, and pretty excited the one showed back up. Getting ready for Oct 1 to roll around.

Just found out that Lionel Richie (see my post a few pages back) is not a legal buck in my area. PA has some odd Antler Restrictions and they changed them up in the last few years. In my area, it's a 3 up rule not including the Brow. So he is off limits for me, but my son could shoot him.

I know the season has started for a couple of our team members. Is everyone else in the same waiting for October 1 boat as tyni and myself?
