Don't feel bad. I did something similar last year, but it was the first or second week of November, which is the peak of the seeking/chasing in my area.

Any crop field harvesting happening at all around you? Also I noticed acorns beginning to drop here some...you? These can play huge factors in the movements of the deer. Also don't be surprised if you begin to see an influx of buck movement...they're starting to show their seeking patterns so if they seem to check in and out some that can be a huge reason why....you'll notice these get shorter and shorter between appearances as they amp up into the full blown rut. We had a buck last year, in August showed up...then under the same moon phase time period and a similar wind bam showed up in September...then in October similar conditions and towards same dark moon period showed up...this time twice in the week span....then in NOvemeber 5 times if I remember right during the dark period...otherwise this buck wasn't always around it seemed during the off season.

Holy crap, just checked the weather and after next Saturday until Oct 12 the warmest its gonna be is 78 degrees one day andthe highest low is about 62. Should be decent for season opener, at the very least better than the 98 it was today

I'll be hanging a couple of stands and checking my trail cams at the OC spot tomorrow. Hopefully I don't let everyone down.

I'm really hoping that I can get a couple of stands up at my grandma's on Monday and pull my trail cam card there as well. I'm really curious to see if Sixer has made an appearance yet.

Off work and ready for the weekend. Hopefully have some pics to share plan on goin out one day and checking cams. Really don't have any stands left to hang but one I did hang while bacl needs to be re-trimmed. Had everything all set and a branch broke off and partially blocked the area I had cleared for shooting. Other than that may do some more scouting.

Ty, the update was pretty good.

Have good weekend everybody and be safe of your heading out to do anything in the woods.

Stands are up at my Owen County spot.

Signs on the trail cams were promising.

Got my thirty yard pin set. Hopefully I can get the rest of them set tomorrow.

I am using my arrows with field points to get my pins set. Once I get my pins set and switch over to my broadheads will it work just moving the sight to dial in the broadheads? I really don't want to have to go through and set all my pins again with the broadheads.

Sorry I haven't been around much, been pretty busy at work lately. I have been seeing some pretty good bucks, including 2 that have gone hard horned already. Getting fired up even more now
