I've been seeing bucks but a lot of 1.5 year olds. The teenagers have been chasing quite a bit. I did draw on a tall, long beamed 7pt but could not get a shot. He was as close as 5 yards, so I feel your pain, Greg. :D :( It is the first buck I have drawn on in 4 seasons. I have time for 3 more sits before the guns start blazing. Hopefully I'll see him again.

My season is over unless something good happens. We lost our hunting property and the ones we picked up suck. Spent all last week on them and never saw a deer. Sorry guys but this year is a bust after such a good year last year. One doe and that didn't count because I didn't have my bow in the pics.

Oh well, Rick.... who cares about those 50 points; if we're gonna lose by one point, we may as well lose by 600! :D

Back to the woods with bow in hand this week. Hopefully the ones I have pics of survived gun season. Corn was up and temps were hot for this time of year in MN so hopefully my little bucks hung low.

What's up fellas, I have been out there everyday mornings and afternoon and haven't seen much AT ALL! We have got some really disappointing weather right now they are really locked down and not moving until dark thirty. I did see a nice buck last week at dark, but couldn't get a shot as it was way past shooting light and my pins had no juice left in them. All I could see was just a black blob at yards. I got some cams out so maybe I'll a few pics. Later

I'm a little tired right now and have a TON of chores to tend to before I head out again for this weekend.

But.. I did manage to tag a nice buck this morning after a long rattling sequence.

Pics to come when I get a chance.

    Word.

Early estimates put him at 132 and change.. I'll re-score later just to be sure. Hope you guys are on to them.

Check out that stache baby! It's mustache November.. I'm rockin' it. Are you?

Notice my arrow? You'd swear it was from the factory red.

It was brisk this morning. Don't know the actual temp.. but plenty of frost on the ground. Luckily besides the first hour and 20 minutes in the dark.. it was only like 10 minutes into shooting light he showed following a solid rattling session.

The amount of blood on that arrow was actually kind of disturbing. I could see my arrow plain as the daylight laying against the forest floor. It was almost glowing it was SO red.

Good job Duke and a hearty congratulations. What's with the half statch? LOL. Looks like the left side was shaved off. JK.

Was surprised to see 2 more 2.5 - 3.5 year old bucks on the property I hunt. Probably dead now from firearm season which ends Sunday. But I will be on the look out for any of them.

You would think I would see at least one out of the five I am after. Man it's been tough.

I understand tough... last five sits I haven't seen "A" deer, with the exception of the 2.5 half-rack which ran by me like its tail was on fire at 4:30 p.m. tonight.
