Thanks Sliv.. filming hunts is alot harder than it looks on tv. Lot of prep to get it all done. But I do enjoy watching my chum whack a deer.. hopefully soon a buck.

I'll be out-of-town in CO with my wife this weekend on a quick get-away in Breck. Good luck to all you gents.. shoot straight. I'll catch you all next week.

Hey guys, I posted this in the General section...just thought I would add it to our team thread. Its the closest thing I have to sending the "text". ;)

Last Thursday morning, I had a doe with three fawns come through at 15 yards about 30 minutes before shooting light. I could see them easily in the bright moon light. The wind wasn't ideal to sit in the tree I saw them from, so this morning I found a tree about 70 yards away. I knew where they were bedding and had a good idea what field they were coming back from. About 8am, they were heading directly to me. They ended up right underneath me for a few minutes before one of the fawns became nervous. The doe eventually moved out to about 12 yards giving me a little better angle. The quatering away shot clipped her spin and the arrow went in about half way. I gave her a follow up shot to end things quicker. I'm not sure if all three fawns where her's, but I know she won't have triplets next year. ;) Had to take pics myself which explains the half smile not knowing exactly when the timer was going off.

Way to go Vito. I hav'nt been out in more than a week and can't get out for another 5 days. Talk about withdraw, I'd rather be at full draw.
Congratulations on what looks like a very large doe.

My past weekend gents.. Sliv might enjoy this as it was un-guided.

A couple boys from Illinois who haven't fly-fished in over 8 years.. and never west of the Mississippi.. fish the Blue River in Colorado and slay some beautiful Rainbows.

And I didn't miss whitetail hunting even the slightest.

Very, very nice bows, Mike! With two does down and some less than stellar hunting weather, I mixed in a steelhead outing last weekend. Its funny when I stand in a river I think "why do I waste my time hiding in a tree, fly fishing is way better"...as soon as I get back in a tree, it's "why do I waste my time standing in freezing water waving a stick....bowhunting is way better". :D

Woo Hoo! Way to go BH!!!

I had a pair of 1.5-year-old forkies at 7 yards this morning... must have been twins; both had double-white throat patches.

I'm going to try to get out 3 or 4 times this week, then I'm probably going to be heading up to hunt with my buddy jmbuckhunter this weekend on his superb property... Next week it'll be all day every day as I'm on vacation the first week of November.
