I made it out to the woods and put up 4 cameras this afternoon. Jumped some does near an area that my son and I hinge cut last year. I'm starting to get the itch to get in a stand. We open October 1 but I probably won't go the first couple of weeks unless my cameras give me a reason to lol.

Keep hunting hard. I'm up here in Minnesota, making sure my ladder stand doesn't walk away. I was walking in and bumped a deer bedded about 35 yards away from this stand. All I saw was the ass end running away, so I'm hoping that wasn't one of my target animals. If anything without antlers walks past me tonight, it'll get shot provided there's a good opportunity. Got incredibly close to sending an arrow at a long nosed doe this evening at about 6. She came out of the corn behind me, walked into the spot where I've got one of my cell cams (so I'll have photos coming in a few minutes) and came very close to doing what I needed her to do. Four more steps are all I needed. Her nose cleared the brush at one point but she was weary of something and decided to reverse course and head to the north and out of my life. Not knowing the regs well enough cost me some elk meat in the freezer. Had a spike at about 25yds this morning...
