Hey guys. Been hunting hard. First year in about 20 that I didn't tag a buck with my bow. I made it My mission to get one with my 5 year old with me during rifle and we took this big doe. He still says it's the best day ever.
My buddy was picking up his sons youth deer from the taxidermist and saw a familiar buck. Our giant is dead. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That they did! We sent all our trail cam pictures to him today. It’s nice to have closure and not hunt a ghost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's a bummer for you guys, but a great day for that other fella. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Definitely! Can’t be mad about it. We had our chances, we just weren’t there when we needed to be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks! I sure can kill deer at home but Colorado still kicks my butt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You need to give it another go in an area that isn't OTC, and you know I will help! I haven't shot a WT buck in two years...sometimes that's the way it all goes (it's hunting). I used up my 2023 luck on a Caiman in Argentina, a fallow buck in Hungary, and a mtn. lion
I’ll take all the help I can get. I’m building points in Utah but don’t plan on cashing those in for along time. I need to start figuring out my plan. Next year I’ll be doing some kind of western hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm in the market for a new knife to carry every day. I've been carrying around (on occasion) a husky two blade knife/box cutter type that I bought at Home Depot. It's too bulky for an EDC. What do you fellas recommend? Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
I don’t have a lot of experience with many knife makers so all I can say is that I am really happy with a Benchmade spring assist knife I have had for probably 8-10 years. It is worn out and I would really like another one. I think I paid $100 for it back then. I hate to see what the prices are now. It opens one handed quick and fast. Edit. It’s called the mini barrage. Looks like about 190 now! Wow
Doesn't Benchmade have a warranty on their knives? It might cost you shipping, but especially if you like it, it may be worth checking on...
Can't help, 'weapons' aren't allowed at work... I've been trying to come up with a solution to a related tangent alternative since the only decent bow shop and evening leagues are a few stops down the train line I take to work. It'd be might convenient to head over after work to shoot...
Crazy society we live in when a 3-4 inch blade is considered a weapon. Kind of reminds me of the scene in Royal Tennenbaums when the butler sticks that little 2 inch Swiss army knife blade into Royal (Gene Hackman)... my god, the carnage. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
