Gonna have it repaired by a taxi? I'd say worth it and an excellent story! What would be cool is if somehow make it detachable for the story LOL

Ya I’ll probably get it repaired. Being detachable could be cool. Might have to ask around to see if that’s possible.

If really wanting, I know a guy that they drilled a doll rod type hole in the beam and the antler and it slides down it and he can pop it off. He watched two bucks fight and a brow busted off in the fight...he wanted to do it and the taxi made it happen.

I'm going to get after it again next week. I'll bring the muzzle loader as I've never shot a whitetail with a gun. It's going to feel weird not carrying my bow... but we'll see what happens. After next weekend, provided I don't shoot anything, it'll be back to archery.

I've been out with the rifle last Sat and today on public.

Last week of the year I'll be on my land with the bow.

We have a little window between firearms and muzzleloader this week. Sat this morning expecting to find deer feeding tight to the bedding and there wasn’t a flick of a tail. Lots of time left still.

I'm tagged out, fellas. I shot a monster doe with the muzzy last night. That's the first whitetail I've shot with anything other than archery tackle.
The girls didn't want to take a group photo because they were fresh out of the bath and didn't want to get too close to it. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Congrats! I’m hoping to get my older 2 girls out the next couple of weeks. They have youth tags to try and fill. Late muzzleloader starts a week from Monday and I’ll be back after it!

My 9 year old punched her tag today! First deer she has shot and I couldn’t be more proud of this little buck![IMG]

Ya she was jacked. I told her to aim for the shoulder and that’s exactly what she did. Took his heart out!

Very proud indeed! Definitely my favorite hunt of the year and I just shot my personal best archery buck. This little buck means way more to me!

Thanks! I’ve told them they don’t have to hunt with me but I want them to at least do it once and then they can decide. My oldest shot a turkey and a doe last year and my middle one shot a turkey this spring and the buck today. They both seem to enjoy it so far. At least they have been willing to give it a try!

I've yet to get either of my girls to commit to coming out with me. Next year should be a little easier as the field that I'm able to sit over early season will be beans. Hopefully, my (then) eight year old will come with.

Oldest one was 9 for her first turkey and younger one was 8 for hers. I feel that’s a good age to start getting them into it. My hope is they will really enjoy it and I’ll look into an antelope hunt to go on together!
