Tons of deer tonight at my place, but wasn’t gonna blow it up with a doe and no shooter bucks at all. Sunday winds shift to easterly and my one money stand is good so I’ll be hitting a tree that day.
15th to weekend after thanksgiving is prime time. Scheduled to work M-W but hoping the boys waives us off Wed early so I can get a few extra shots this week. I saw a buck Thurs night looking for love near my home...I just need the same and a good opportunity here on my property...
We've got a cold front coming on Monday night, so I'll be in the tree prior to work Tuesday morning. 14° temp swing for high Temps. I'm hopeful that it'll keep the bucks moving a little later in the morning, but I plan on shooting a deer if presented with an opportunity. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Still out trying, nothing good to report of late. Out this morning again…hopefully have some good news shortly lol
I'm still hunting, when I can. I'll be out the morning, Fri, sat and maybe Sunday pm. If the boss waives us off early Wed pm, there's a slim chance of an evening sit too. Or season runs till Jan 1, so a good bit of time left for me.
The temp swing is no longer quite as dramatic as it was supposed to be for tomorrow, but we're still looking at SE winds and a 46° high temp today vs NW winds and a 36° high temp tomorrow. A 21% difference in temp is pretty significant... plus the switch to the NW wind is normally a good change. We've had winds of our some southerly direction for about a week now. It'll be a welcome change. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Being tagged out is awesome but sad at the same time haha. I still got doe tags I can fill but I hate going out after shooting a buck because I know I’ll have a giant walk by lol. I will have a late muzzleloader tag mid December at least, and my 2 oldest daughters also have tags that they’ll try to fill in the shotgun seasons early December. The oldest is looking for her first buck and the younger one is looking for her first deer! Gonna be a blast! Here’s a late season prospect! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well pulled some cards yesterday quick as wind was favorable for West side of property pulls. If I was in the market for 110-125 inch two and three year olds I'd be in HEAVEN. Main 7 year old target buck was very killable in early October of course when family, work and time just didn't allow to hunt much at all. How it goes. Truthfully, only one other buck (maybe two) fit the four year old billing and I'd probably shoot at this stage of the game when I get back from family thanksgiving celebrations this weekend. I've always had the mindset when December comes, the likelihood a buck I see lives is greatly increased and I get pickier honestly. Tons of scrub bucks everywhere and truthfully I may do something I never thought I'd do and target a few of them to remove buck space from the area and another mouth from the plots which cannot keep up - also a few does need to die.
It wasn't a fruitless morning, but nothing within range. I had a doe and twin fawns come as close as 85 yards right at first light. And then walk by in the opposite direction about 25 minutes later at about the same distance. I know what I'm going to do on Saturday now, though. I've watched the same group of deer move across the field at about the same time the last three sits. The only struggle will be if it's a clear morning as I'll be staying into the sun. The last time I made a move like this was my closest shot to date. 6 yards on the other side of a scrub spruce tree, on the ground staring the deer in the eyes. That late season was a game of cat and mouse with that group of deer. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
My buddy might have found the tine that broke off my buck! Hopefully it’s a perfect match! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Happy Thanksgiving, fellas! I hope everyone is stuffed and resting... or just getting home from a successful hunt! Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk

Sorry about the delay on here, we just completed gun season here in Wisconsin. It was a success for me. Here are a few photos. Im not giving up on bowhunting still have a month-ish to get something done.
Congrats fellas! I'm back in town and likely will be at it later this week yet again....here soon my gears will turn over to freezer filling however and I may sacrifice a hunt or two with a boomstick of somesort. Still gonna be trying to get us some points though for sure!
