Morning was able to hunt and wind did not shift like it was supposed to. Had to pull and get down after it didn’t cooperate and a lead doe circled me and busted asap.

Rain tomorrow so doubt I make it out tomorrow. Starting to feel very deery out there!!!

Headed out for an evening sit. Could be a bad idea since I work tonight at 745. It gets dark at 645 and I’ll be 25 minutes from work. Gonna be a mad dash but the big boys showed up daylight this morning.

New buck showed up last night and I saw him on the hoof this evening. He came in to my rattle. Never got within 80 yards. Not sure if I’d shoot him or not.

Ya I think he is mature. Just tough to shoot him when I’m after a much bigger deer.

Looks like I have his cousin over my way. I think he lost a tine over night. Seems like the same deer to me, but close to what you have. IMG_4356.png IMG_4357.png

Keep us posted Wisconsin. I had a semi productive morning (having not made it out last night). Saw 4 different bucks. 3 scrappers, two forks, and a basket 6. The other was mostly unidentified as I wasn't able to see his full head gear. He had a big body and all I could see were antler tips. I'm pretty sure he was the bigger 8 I've been seeing regularly on camera, and considering he came from the direction he was going just after midnight this morning... it would make sense for it to have been him. Hopefully I'll have a similar Thursday. I'll be in the property all day... probably in two different spots. [IMG]

    Heck yeah @Wisconsin Buckwatch !

I made it out saturday morning ya'll...wind was touchy but was supposed to switch first hour and it was a stand tucked back along an area they don't recede to until hour after light usually so went in...wind did not shift and sadly swirled. I could have shot a doe but it is a spot I don't shoot does till late at given how close it is tucked up in bedding. I climbed down when one blew and took a group with her...wasn't worth the risk to educate the wrong buck.

Tentatively taking Wednesday afternoon off to hit a spot up. Fingers crossed.

Started my week long hunting adventure today. Going to try to get after a big one. Had one hot on a doe and one searching the edges this morning. Hopefully I’ll be in the right place at the right time. Good luck out there!

    Good luck!

I've got another week till I start getting some time off. I'd really like something other than a W wind...when I do have time to get in the stand.

Well fellas, hitting a tree that we save till about now. Pops sat it last night, had deer literally all around and under him but nothing old enough to shoot. We will see if tonight is different. He had chasing everywhere but it butts up to a sanctuary unhunted wetland and sometimes the big boys of course never want to flirt with stepping out and he suspects the reason he saw all the two year olds (one was very nice two) was the big boy or boys were keeping them pushed off.

Friday nights plans with friends just feel through and the wind is favorable for a few sets. Hopefully I can make a run out tomorrow evening...
