Well only deer to come within 35 yards was at last light and no shot, saw a bunch up north of me across a grass field hitting acorns closer to my parking spot LOL how it goes sometimes.
Wife has a doctor appointment today and severe doctor anxiety so while the winds are best for my best stand I won't be hitting the tree, i'll be helping her through that. If praying men, just keep her and health in prayers. Tomorrow crazy warm up happens but then a front moves rain in for a few days - post that I am going to try and hit the tree hard.
Nice job congrats! Has been a pretty slow start here. Few small bucks and a warm spell coming in. May try in the morning.
Nice work, Josh! Let's get after it. I'll be back in the woods this weekend for at least one sit. Hopefully, I can pull an evening on Saturday and a morning on Sunday, but I'll probably have to pick one of them. We've still got some projects to get our new house fully put together. We're coming to the end of phase one (interior) of the remodel... and with winter coming, that'll be the end of our major projects for the first year in our new place Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Saturday is looking pretty good as the cold will return here. Lot of crops will come out by then so hoping to see some cruzers!
Good luck! Keep us updated! My plant shutdown finishes up this weekend. It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. I had last night off but go in again tonight till Sunday night. I’ll be hunting Monday night, all day Tuesday, and Wednesday morning probably. It’s supposed to be cold! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'd call that temporary retirement! Enjoy your time and put some meat in the freezer. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Well gonna squeek out a morning hunt tomorrow lord willing....will be a spot I will shoot an antlerless if given right situation.
Next 4 days are gonna be 80+ here. I'm conflicted for this weekend, try to find a deer in the heat with crappy winds around here, or head to the mountains where it will be 10 degrees cooler and deer/beer season albeit much fewer deer in the mountains.
