Same here, bucks seemed to have disappeared from the cameras. Woods are full of acorns and mushrooms.

This buck just showed back up, should be 5-6 yr old this season. Multiple sheds from previous years. Not the best scoring but he is mature

His sagging belly shows he's mature. Nice mature buck!

Got out to my stands this afternoon. Light rain which was nice to keep bugs down. All trimmed up. Unfortunately it looks like my blind took on a large tree limb and lost. I’ll have to clean that up and figure out what I’m going to do there. Heavy rain tonight. Scents should be washed away. Ready for next week.

Got to have some basil cell cancer removed off the bridge of my nose tomorrow. I'll have stay on the sidelines till it heals a bit. Cameras still haven't got me too excited yet.

Our season opens this Saturday but I likely will not make it out until Sunday afternoon. My son has homecoming Saturday then we will head to the lease Sunday morning. Really trying to get him on a buck first. HS golf just ended and he went straight into fall baseball conditioning and basketball open gym.

    Good luck Sunday Greg.

I finally got some buck movement the last couple days.

This is the best ones so far with hard horn.

I finally had some time to go shoot my bow. Not proud that this is the first time shooting since my injury in May, but the shoulder felt good. It never ceases to amaze me how something needs to be adjusted every season. I was way high and way left. I’ll continue to shoot as time and kids/wife allow.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say the initial accuracy issues of tonight’s shoot wasn’t messing with my mind.

Saw two small bucks do far. A four point and a decent six.

Bucks are on cameras again. I'll be hunting this food plot evenings when there's a west wind. WGI_1287.JPG

Guys, just found out I may get knocked out of hunting this fall. Hurt my hip which was already bad this past week carrying heavy load up the stairs for the wife. I go this Wednesday to see the surgeon. I expect surgery in the coming weeks. Walking is a pain in the a$$! I had my other hip done 10 years ago, so I know what I'm in store for. If you guys want I can ask @LittleChief for a replacement. Just let me know. I don't want to hold the team back.

    This sucks!

I really hate to hear that!

Be advised though, I don’t have any replacements signed up.
