Merry Christmas! I’m still searching for a solid buck. Unfortunately I’ve found one from early season that was on the list that was taken from ehd. He disappeared late September.

I've sat twice this week in the low 20's upper teens. Both times had target buck come out in the field to 30 yards. Both times I got busted by other deer when I came to full draw. By the time the bucks get to the field, I'm surrounded by 10-15 other deer. Looking at the pic i attached, I was in the stand when the camera got these pics. You can't see me, but Im to the right about 25 yards down the tree line. Had 5-7 other deer under or in front of me until I got busted. I'll be out Sunday evening and a few days next week. I'm close, everything will fall in place one of these nights.

 

Rjhart12pt those are some great bucks! Hope you get a chance at them.

 

Well I had my shot tonight and missed. Had the wide one under my tree at 15 yards and shot right over top of him. Clean miss, broken arrow.

 

Had a doe this morning at 25 yards and had another deer spook that I didn't get see. She blew and the one I drew on took off quick before I could shot

 

You are in it! Shake off the miss, you'll get another chance!

Good luck those still out, been working my butt off trying to find a mature buck. Running 10 cells on 3 different farms along with multiple non cell cams on a few others

 

Anyone still out? I've still been out trying to find a mature buck. It's been tough..... I do have one 8pt that looks to be 4 yrs old by the size of his body, but has more of a management rack. Maybe 115"-120"

We've found a handful of EHD kills so far but I'm expecting to find many more during shed season.

 

Well guys the contest is about to close. We had a great year. 3 fine bucks and 8 does. I believe everyone on the team put meat in the freezer. That is a win in my book.
