It's gun season this week in Ohio. I was out Monday and didn't see much and now trying to kick this chest and head cold I have. Should be back out tomorrow evening to Saturday. Then headed back to IL on 12/9 to bow hunt 12/10-12/11 and muzzeloader hunt 12/12 - 12/13. Still have an antlered tag for each weapon.

Stay after them Chris. Bound to happen for you!

Today is my second day out of surgery and im doing great. Pain from the surgery is there now, but the pain from hip is gone! 3 to 4 weeks and I should be back to doing the things I love.

I'm not familiar with Indiana season dates. Is there a chance you''ll be able to hunt again this season?

Archery runs through till January 4th. Not likely I'll be released to drive in time to even try. Right now I just want to be travel worthy by February 1st. I have a week of bass and crappie fishing scheduled in Kissimmee FL.

Surgery went well. First two days were absolutely brutal with pain and discomfort. I won’t be back this season. I’m sorry everyone.

Gun, muzzleloader, antlerless gun seasons in my area of Wis. are over. Late season archery opened yesterday and was able to fill my doe tag.

Good luck to team still hunting! IMG_2048.JPG

Sorry guys been gone for a minute, the business got busy and haven't been able to get out any. Hoping to get out this weekend with the bow, we will see if the schedule will allow it.

Had my 2 week follow up appointment after surgery yesterday. Doc said I'm doing great. I've started walking with a cane and will be released to drive in couple weeks. It sure is nice being able to walk without the back and hip pain.

This happened last year. After the 1st gun season in Ohio, bucks start showing up on my friend's property. There are 5 bucks i haven't seen all season showing up. 3 are starting to be regular in his field. I moved a stand to a new corner of his property and plan on hunting it pretty hard after Christmas. Our shop closes for the holidays. I have December 23 - January 5th off.

    That's awesome, good luck!
I set the stage for a buck that has showed up the last two years during the late season. I missed him last year during our muzzleloader season. As of now, just hoping he or another buck shows up. Putting another buck or two on the board would definitely give us a good chance of winning this.

Here’s the spot I setup. We still have 3 acres of standing corn. I mowed around a half acre and tucked a blind in
