Team 6 "I've Got Your SIX"

I didn't get back out, yesterday. Another bug going through the house. Wife was not in good mood. She made me take my kid to urgent care, only to be told hes fine. Meanwhile, I can feel myself getting sick again. So far an amazing season. That wind was absolutely brutal yesterday. Can't even say I enjoyed the four hours I was out there.

 

Yea, my buddies out on our lease said the wind was crazy. A couple of my cameras showed 18 deg out there this morning.

 

I think it was 22* here. Not sure what it was with wind. It’ll be back in the 70s by the weekend.

Guys. This Saturday is the start of our gun season. I hope to get back out one more time on Thursday. Indiana is a one buck state and I'll be taking my SIL on Saturday to gun hunt. I'll have my 308 and my buck season could be done.

 

Next sit should be this Friday afternoon. I have a few bucks here in Ohio I would like to see a little closer. The big buck I was after in IL was killed Tuesday morning by our neighbor, upper 160's as a main frame 8. I had a feeling he was going to, the buck was always crossing the road at night.

A couple does and a couple bucks and we will be right in the mix. Keep at it guys! Good luck!

Congratulations on the does guys. In the stand now and tomorrow morning. Then gone for the weekend. Got Monday and Friday off next week. Try and hunt the mornings. I might have permission to hunt a friend's family farm. It's about 45 minutes away, but they have about 85 acres of woods between 2 separate properties. Fingers crossed.

 

Saw about 12- 15 does from about 4:50 till 5:20 tonight and not a single buck around.

 

We should be back in second again. Great job guys!

After today I'm finished with archery for the year.

Saturday gun opener might be my last hunt before surgery. I kinda hope it is so I can get my leg stronger before they start carving on this turkey.
