All settled in the corn field ground blind. It overlooks a hidden swale travel route where I have seen them cross. Brother sitting the community scrape blind.

Good luck tonight Greg! Knock that big bigger down.

Hunted this morning, saw 2 doe. Back in the stand tonight. 15-20 mph winds. Tree is swaying almost a foot back and forth. Not looking very promising.

One neighbor is cutting wood eith chainsaw by the edge of the field and the other neighbor is driving around on his quad. Probably checking his feeders. I heard 2 of them going off this morning.

Well I had a shot on a lone doe in the swale at 5:15. Missed clean. Found the arrow with no blood on it. Was good to get the chance. Ill give it a couple days and get back out there and try again.

Here she is when I first saw her. She walked down the hill and was standing by the light colored weeds closer to the blind.

I go to Mohican state park to do spot and stalk. I just park my car early morning somewhere and start to slowly move through the woods. I find it fun and very difficult to do but rewarding. Last time I did it I was able to get to 30 yards of a doe on the side of a large hill, I was behind her and thought she might turn a little to get a quartering away shot but never happen. She kept moving alongside the hill then a couple hikers spooked her and she took off fast.
