All settled in the corn field ground blind. It overlooks a hidden swale travel route where I have seen them cross. Brother sitting the community scrape blind.

Good luck tonight Greg! Knock that big bigger down.

Hunted this morning, saw 2 doe. Back in the stand tonight. 15-20 mph winds. Tree is swaying almost a foot back and forth. Not looking very promising.

One neighbor is cutting wood eith chainsaw by the edge of the field and the other neighbor is driving around on his quad. Probably checking his feeders. I heard 2 of them going off this morning.

Well I had a shot on a lone doe in the swale at 5:15. Missed clean. Found the arrow with no blood on it. Was good to get the chance. Ill give it a couple days and get back out there and try again.

Here she is when I first saw her. She walked down the hill and was standing by the light colored weeds closer to the blind.

I go to Mohican state park to do spot and stalk. I just park my car early morning somewhere and start to slowly move through the woods. I find it fun and very difficult to do but rewarding. Last time I did it I was able to get to 30 yards of a doe on the side of a large hill, I was behind her and thought she might turn a little to get a quartering away shot but never happen. She kept moving alongside the hill then a couple hikers spooked her and she took off fast.

Got this cell cam video just after 1 pm.

Was getting ready to head out at the time. It made up my mind to which property. He is headed right past my stand to the top of a knoll where bucks like to pen up does. I snuck in to a stand 150 yards further downwind at 230. Got in clean I think. Unfortunately never saw him. Just one lonely fawn. Got out clean too I think. It is supposed to blow 30 to 60 mph from tonight till midmorning tomorrow. So take the pup bird hunting early

My appointment with the specialist was not very helpful. Doctor initially was dismissive and just believed I had torn my partial bicep ligament. I suggested it is probably beneficial that we confirm that. He said he would need to get permission from insurance for the MRI. I've never been required to get permission for an MRI before. This is new territory. None-the-less, he is submitting an "Urgent" request for MRI. If it is torn 50% or more, it will require surgery. If it is torn below 50% they will allow it to heal on its own.

I've gained a lot of mobility and strength in several planes. Carrying any real load while supinated is not good. A gnarly bruise appeared on Tuesday. Its about 7 different colors and nearly the entire length of my forearm.

I'm going to try and pull back my bow at lunch today. I'm nearly certain I can do it.

Confirmed. I’ve been called names tonight. Given extra duties. She’s not happy with me.

Added 50pts to our total this morning. Small buck chased a doe to 15 yds this morning. Couldn't hold off any longer.... She made it another 25yds and dropped. Also seen two shooter bucks after. They were cruising hard and did not pay attention to grunts or snort wheezes. Last evening hunt here in IL and heading back to Ohio tomorrow morning. Should be in a tree there all day Sunday.

I’m back, kind of! Long story short, here a while back lightning hit close to the house and it fried everything electrical! I finally have most of it fixed or replaced including a new section of Ethernet cable… it got that too! Without that I can’t get online because I live in a dead zone.

Anyway, I'm on my draw hunt and signal isn’t great here either. Ill be back home Sunday evening and will get all caught up!

Didn’t go out today. Wife was not happy with the idea. I’ll give her today and tomorrow but Sunday I’m in a tree. High of thirty-eight low of twenty-two. Let’s go.

Pruned trees instead today. Felt a nasty painful pop. That scared me for awhile. Seems to be better about thirty minutes and three beers later

Made it in this morning. Cold thirty-five degrees. Feels like twenty-five. Seventeen mph winds. Most of it going over the top of me in this bottom field. Haven’t seen anything yet.

I saw only one little fork horn buck. Nothing else. I’ll see if I can slip back in tonight. I needed a break. That wind was terrible
