That's the kind of arrow I like to see after the shot. Hope it's a short track and drag for you James.

Big news on my front; my annual IL public land trip is back on. It wasn't going to happen this year but I talked to the wife and we booked a house in a nearby town and I'm taking the whole family. Dad and I had historically pulled the camper or stayed in a hotel but this will be more comfortable (and pricy lol) for everyone. I am stoked. Not expecting much, just glad for the opportunity

All done tried to get my three year old son in the picture with his deer hunter Halloween costume. He had me put face paint on like him then decided to be bashful and not get in the picture

In the stand tonight for my second sit of the year. 50° pretty calm. Still alot of leaves on trees. We had a couple good storms last week, thought for sure would have dropped more leaves.

Crazy night tonight. Had a nice doe and a 4pt come through around 5. Was going to take a shot at the doe but she busted me as I was turning back around with my bow. Around 6 deer started coming in from all directions. Had 1 mature doe with 2 young ones in front of me had another mature doe with 3 younger ones behind me and a small 8pt and 6pt came chasing another doe through. Those 2 bucks chased all the deer around right under my stand for what seemed like 10 minutes. Eventually I got a shot off on one of the mature does.

Going to sit the corn field blind this evening. The wife wants to go along tonight, and I'll be happy she did if I manage to shoot one.

Here is my setup for tonight.

I hope to get shot tonight. Historically bucks cruze the swale in the field scent checking the little woods to the NE.

By far the biggest buck and biggest body deer I’ve ever shot an amazing hunt. First im going to take care of him and get him dressed. Story to come later.

Awesome job Shawn! That dude is a toad. Can't wait to hear about your hunt and see what that bad boy scores.

    Let's go team 6!

Well gents total score is 124 1/2. I saw this buck come out from behind me and ventured to my left side. No wind at the time at least that I could tell. He was taking a trail I wasn’t expecting and he got his head behind a tree I drew back. He took three steps outta which point I squirrel barked and he took one more step and stopped. He was quartering away from me and I aimed for the opposite leg and let it rip. Arrow went in behind the last rib through the heart. He took off ran about 145 yards and dropped.
