Good luck Joe! Looks like there’s definitely some activity there! Hopefully you still one in the next few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Little Chief was giving us a little nudge on page 4 for a Team Captain. I nominate OKSooner since he started us off. And as for a team name, any will do.
Enterprise, Alabama. It's in the southern part of the state. It's near Fort Rucker base. I am going to try and get signed up with wounded warriors so that I can get on the base and take vets out on hunts as a guide. Think that would be pretty sweet and since I video my hunts hopefully they will allow me to video their hunts and it will be a cool way to remember their hunts.
Last batch of salsa is on the stove to can and I'm free to get in a doe only bow hunt. The Deer freezer has been checked and ready to go. It will be in the 80's
It doesn’t matter to me on name and caption. You guys decide and we’ll let little chief know. Only four days until I leave for Colorado! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This makes 30 pints so far. This is the first year I've had all the correct amount of tomato and peppers all at the same time.
Jerk!!! Lol. As for captain, as long as it’s not me I don’t care who gets it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The Deer never gave my corn a chance to head out...they just kept nipping the tops off. Now it's all only 4ft and just starting small ears...I have given up on sweet corn due to raccoon and squirrel.
My animal population is low here. Im hoping the corn and soybeans i planted will bring in deer and bear, as well as people food.. I also plant sorghum. I kill any ground hogs or racoon I can find.
3years I. A row I took 15-23 raccoon off our place and still we are overrun. It's always worse when the farms decide to plant legumes for several years to replenish the soil. That said squirrels are worse than the raccoon! Between seed stealing to stripping ears . I've watched Grey's carry a full ear 2-3 hundred yards across our place. It looked like an assembly line going through the woods..Lol Any help .No hunt today due to a whopper storm last night and rain this afternoon. Thunderstorms all day tomorrow but Wednesday should be good. I won't hunt early morning after a bad storm our woods is just too dangerous. I'm headed out now to check damage from last night.
Morning hunt is to take boy out with me pretty much just for fun. Got winded once or spotted on our way in and we've seen one fawn so far. Serious spot is for tonight. But if anything over 100 inches walks out while he's up here with me I might let one fly.
