Next year. VT hunting is over!! I still have NJ till the end of the contest, three more trips planned.
Yeah, bow season runs from October 1 to December 15. The gun season is in November. Muzzy is 4 days in October and tge first week of December. So its all done in VT. In NJ I have until February 18 and I should get there 3 more times before January 31, unless there is a blizzard when I'm supposed to go.
Gosh dang. I was just scanning everything since we made the jump to feel everything out. I felt bad for screwing up a doe in October and not getting my pics. But that was a jacked up deal where the heat made me rush her to a cooler while i had another deer to look for. Why in the hell would you participate in a contest if you are just going to post a non qualifying pic of a great buck and disappear. Now idk their situation hell they could be 6ft under and i hope thats not the case. Other things are more important than a deer contest but geez. I feel sorry for you guys team and i hope they have good excuses for not posting. If i had my doe posted from Oct wed be at 950 but it looks like you guys are missing at least 260 or so pts. You guys have had a hell of a season anyhow. Feel bed for you guys but not bad enough to hope your teamies pull through .
They bumped me up from Moderator to Admin so I guess I should help you all out even though you are on another team. I sent emails to Bronson and Sparrowhawk telling them they needed to post their bucks on the scorecard. Well, I sent emails to the email address they used to sign up anyway. Here’s hoping they are still good email addresses. We can tag them and send all the PMs we want but if they don’t log in they aren’t going to see them, and neither of them have logged back in since they posted their pics in this thread. Hopefully they will see those emails and get their bucks posted or at least let you know why they can’t. Beyond that there’s not much I can do for you, folks. Like I said before, I want to win as much as anyone but I don’t want to win this way.
Well, I haven't been an Admin for long so it didn't even occur to me that I had access to everyone's email until a while ago. I thought about it for about a minute and a half and then decided that it would be wrong of me to not at least try to contact them for you when I had the ability to do so. If my team wins it wouldn't be much of a win if I could have made a difference for you and didn't. Here's hoping they reply.
Good morning Team 6. I got an email reply from Bronson. He said that he didn't enter his buck because he forgot to get the required pics with him and his bow. He also said that he was sorry he let you all down. I’m really sorry to have to deliver bad news. I haven't heard back from Sparrowhawk yet, but if I do I'll let you know.
I have to agree with you there. I did suggest that he make an appearance here and tell you folks himself what happened.
I don’t believe either of the two shot the deer this year. The rules are spelled out pretty clear. If you can’t understand them then don’t play along. But simply throwing the team under the bus is a shame. Essentially this team has played with 2 less competitors then everyone else. We have done very well and should feel good about that.
