What a great job by this entire team. I'm sorry that I haven't been on here much but the move and new job have taken up a lot of space in my life. I'm settled in and should have a lot bigger presence from now on. The plan is to head to Ohio on the 18th and spend a week on the family farm. There are some good deer in southeastern Ohio but it's a lot harder hunting dense timber with lots of hills than it is hunting flatter ground with small pockets of woods. I feel like I'm due though to connect on an Ohio buck. Will also be bringing out one of my best friends from high school to try and help get him his first deer.
I still can't believe you shot that buck on the last night living in Kansas! That's a wild story. Are you going to try and draw a Kansas tag next year and go back? Ohio sounds like it'll be a good trip for you. We're headed to Colorado for thanksgiving so no deer hunting for me. We will be chasing upland birds while I'm there though.

This is awesome. When Bronson and Sparrowhawks Bucks and OK's Doe get posted we will catapult ahead in first. Way to go everyone. Get em posted up. Hopefully I and the others on the team, who haven't yet, can lay down some Bucks and as a team we can lay down another 200-300 points in Does!!!!
By my count, when the 2 Bucks and Doe that are down are added to our score we will be at 930 roughly! 1300 usually wins this thing every year. We are well on our way, and plenty of season left before January 31.

Leaving Thursday morning and taking a young college kid from church with me to hunt my parents place in Ohio. My best.friend from high school is going to join is and I'm going to try and get one his first ever deer and the other his first ever with a bow. I'm excited for the potential opportunities for myself but I think I'm more excited about what this hunt could bring for my friends. Hope they get to experience the joy that I've been blessed to have while hunting.
