We will see, probably be pretty hard to pass but he has great potential. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Been shooting a lot. Shot my broadheads yesterday and they were hitting spot on as my field points and flying great. Farmers getting some corn and beans out this past weekend. October 1st can't get here soon enough!
Wis. starts the 14. high 70-80 temps all week. Got my 2 year old crossbow out to shoot, see pigtail cables were fraying at one end. Think I'll have to get new strings and cables put on. Bet there isn't 40 shots through it. Might not go out on opener. Never had problems like this when I shot recurves or compounds lol.
OH opens on the 28th. Depending on the weather and if I can find a deer processor who is open I will go out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep ours opens the same day here in MN. Hot, hot, hot for the next few weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had a good experience today. Took my crossbow into Scheels to see about new string and cables. Ten minutes had new strings and cables on. Really surprised me they had parts and could put them on so fast. While I was there another old guy brought in his raven, broken string, cables and limb damage he wasn't happy.
Good deal. I had the strings and cables changes on my wife’s Raven at the end of last season. There’s a load of energy in those things. I wouldn’t want to be around one if a string popped. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree about not being around one if a string breaks. Gotta be careful about using them and keep them maintained in good shape. I heard a little of the conversation of the guy who's blew up. He didn't seem to know much about using the crossbow. He even thought his was recalled by the company. His was a different model.
Young bucks fighting, fun to see em star scrappin a bit. New deer been hanging around also, but younger. Nice age structure going! Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Haven’t got any pics of bucks out of velvet yet. Going out tomorrow to set out my last cell camera. Gonna check a camera on the way in. Might be the last time i’m out at this spot before season unless i get a chance to check them the weekend before season starts. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Won’t be in a tree on opening weekend. Busy busy busy and warm. Momma bear still sticking around as of tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Third place I've got pictures of this buck. 1st was 1/2 mile north of my house, then 1/2 south in food plot, now about 1/4 mile west. Bad place for him, cameras just 100 yards off town road. Think they're in the soybeans, then hitting acorns on south side of wood lot, then crossing the road to my neighbor's corn. Put up a stand Sat. on south side of woods. Bunch of does, a few bucks, even a bear. Will seem strange hunting 100 yards from a road though. I do need to set the correct time and date of the camera.
I love the bear pics! I know they tear things up, but I do get jealous, lol Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Nice to be out hunting again. Saw about dozen deer, most were around 200 yards away. All does, had some coming towards me about quitting time. All the deer in the field started running, four coyotes were chasing some of the deer. Temps weren't bad, I was in the shade, mosquitos were bad though. Think I'll set some coyote traps.
Cell cameras been slow, been hot here. Was supposed to get rain this weekend and never got it. That buck with all the stickers/points has been missing all week after having him on camera every day at 1am-4am for a week and now he has disappeared. Hoping he is on one of my other cameras thats not a cell camera. Got my first bucks out of velvet. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
