I might get another $30 in my check for extra 10hrs worked. I'm sure she is going to use it for a good cause.

Mini vacation to sit in a tree all day is set for Nov 1 - Nov 5th. I will take off the 6th - 8th if I can’t get it done anytime before that! Hope I won’t even need to use it and can make it happen in September or October.

Cooling off the next few days before warm temps move back in for an extended time.

    Counting down the days.

I usually take the last week off of October or the first week of November but last year I watched the weather more and took off days according to weather pattern and good winds. Haven't decided if I'm going to do that again or just take a whole week off yet. It will be here soon enough! Hoping to see a couple of my shooters on camera this weekend. Cell camera has a lot of action but just does and small bucks

I currently have October 28th- November 8th off. This will be my best chance to put a buck down. I have some other random weeks off but I’m hoping there isn’t any logging going on during that time.

I have either half days or full days off the whole month of November and a couple the end of October and December. I’d like to tag out early so I can roll some of my vacation time over but it never works out that way. I will also go into work and save a day here or there if the weather is not good.

Nine more days for Wis. opener. I'm retired so I 'll be hunting most days, unless it's in the 80's, raining or 30 mph+
winds. Three grandsons play football so some friday nights I'll be watching them play. IMG_1936.JPG
I'm hoping this buck shows up from last year. He showed up last Oct. was all over the place at night. Just saw him once at corner of a food plot.
Had pictures of him till he shed so hopefully he's still around.

Bucks are shedding velvet so I haven’t seen the big guys in a bit. My number 1 big 9 was on camera last week still in velvet.

I’m on 52 acres so it’s tough but it’s land locked in a great area. The Rut brings out some special things on this little piece I get to hunt.

So to win this thing, it seems like the teams that always are in the top 3, their teams almost everyone shoots a doe. Does everyone plan on trying to shoot a doe this year? Thoughts?

Seems like the past couple years that’s all I get with my bow is a doe, I try to shoot the first one that gives me the opportunity.

One of the reasons I get in this contest. Makes me shoot a doe.

I haven’t in quite some time… but I am out of venison. Would love a taxidermy and meat locker bill this year.

I might be shooting one early this year with the logging and all that. I go back and forth about shooting them early or late.

I sent these in the group text but here are the bucks thats on the hit list. That one with all the stickers could be a giant next year but i know he won’t make it through gun season with the neighboring properties. Got him every day this past week. 1 a.m. mostly then 4 a.m.

Idk if you followed my saga with the buck I called “mega” but somehow someway he made it 4 years as a giant on private and public. Old deer simply know how to live. Even in our area where people shoot anything during rifle season. I have hope.
