Whole state of Iowa is pretty rough with EHD. Not too many parts that weren't hit. I'd wait a couple years before I used my points anyway, if AI were from out of state.

Ahhh. Thanks nice. I only have one shoulder mount and it’s from the prong horn I shot in 2017. My wife has her first buck shoulder mounted. I always get European mounts from deer. I spent a bunch of money on waterfowl mounts back in the day and ended up giving most of them away when I moved to OH.

My fiance wants me to get the pedestal triple bracket, haven't decided if I'm going to or not. I have a barrel but I have a turkey on it. Might end up just buying another barrel. Trying to design my trophy room/area before we officially move in. lol I got to put up wall paneling all on one wall that looks like old barn wood. Cheaper than getting old barn wood. I'm hoping to get that done this weekend or next. Trying to put down another doe or two in between all the chaos too lol. Might get out tomorrow evening after work.

For you guys who saddle hunt, you guys recommend getting ropeman ascenders over the prusuit knot?

Going out after work this evening to hopefully fill a doe tag or two. I haven't been out since I shot my buck in November. Ready to be back in the tree!

Ended up seeing 3 does but way too far. Plus the neighboring property was logging and it was super windy yesterday evening, had to get down from the stand, didn't feel safe with the wind gusting over 30mph. Might make it out this evening if I can get out of work early.

I ordered 2 of them and also ordered some stealth strips to silence the sticks and a part on the platform. Not going to try and hunt out of a saddle any this season. Want to practice all summer with it and getting used to it. Really would like to try and shoot a mature buck on public land, thats always been a goal of mine but I have 2 bucks on my private properties that if they make it, I might have to dedicate next year to at least one of them.

I am up, again. 2 days left. I am in a different location, closer to the houses and where I park, but the snow showed me where they are moving. I am in my saddle.

I would definitely get the rope man, I have one and am going to g to get another for my lineman’s rope as well.

I ended up going with the whole GRIT Workhorse by Tethrd set up. Grit Workhorse saddle, sticks, and platform. Got them all on sale on Black Friday online. Really been doing a lot of research on saddle hunting and watching a lot of videos on it. Think it will take sometime to get used to but I think I will really like it once I figure it out.
