Hitting a new spot to me in the afternoon tomorrow. First try with my saddle. In bow only area. Put my camera in there today, found decent rub and a few scrapes.
Weathers killing me here. Goes from record highs to windy wrong direction winds and now all day rains. Need cooler temps and westerly wind for this buck. I can hunt every day till the 22th. Hope I can get another chance at him.
So this morning i got close but someone pulled over and started watching the bucks and the doe and they spooked. This was the buck, he was 50 yards and the other buck was at 80. Would have shot either one Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Going to try and get out tomorrow morning. Been so warm I have been playing golf yesterday and today.
Had a west wind finally, went to my blind at food plot around 1:00. Thought I was plenty early, decided to freshen mock scrape there. Got to edge of the tall grass, looked around and maybe 100 yards south end of plot big buck was standing in tall grass just his head and antlers showing looking at me. I ducked down went to my blind and hoped he didn't get a good look at me. Around 4 o'clock fawn was in front of me and staring to the south. Stood up to see and the buck was in the plot checking does. Then he decided to go west into the timber. He wasn't interested in my grunt call. So almost lol. Good luck to the team hunting!
Been outside trying out one of these tree seats I had a guy make me at work and 2 for the kids. I had him build them to the dimensions on the site they must be for a 6yrs old. I think we can modify them to make them 2” to 3” wider on each side by adding another 4” pc on the bottom otherwise going in the kindling pile. Using during gun season.
Tomorrow I think would be good here but I only have a doe tag that I will try to fill during gun season. I got a new one I want to try out. I might just relax Saturday and go into the woods Sunday afternoon and check a stand and possibly move it and try to set up another spot on a property I hunt. This is the first year I can remember tagging out early so I don’t really know what to do with my time at this point in the year. Good luck out there Saturday.
No hunting Sundays in Maine. My anniversary tomorrow. First one I have been home for in a long time. Usually in Kansas. After that I am going to hunt pretty hard
Was going to sight in my new hha sight today but its 20mph winds out and gusts over 25 so probably just wait for another day. I did try to just do some shooting and lets just say shooting out in the open on a windy day definitely doesn’t make for the best groups. Lol no hunting for me today. Spending time with fiance and little one. Yesterday evening hunt i let a 120ish 8 walk. It was tempting but trying to hold out for the tall brow buck. Be back out tomorrow. Anyone out this morning? Quite a few deer along the side of the road last night milling around. Doe just ran through the back of my yard but nothing after her.
