I came into work early for a meeting so I will be leaving early tonight to get out tomorrow morning. I might go back to my spot where the guy has that camera 20 yds from my stand and hunt it in the morning then my daughter and I will take it down and move it to another spot on the property. There is an old broken chair on the property I’ll put where my stand was. Maybe the guy will get the point. Other option is to go to my favorite property I haven’t hunted yet this year but I’m trying to stay out of there as long as possible. I’ve never waited this long to hunt it.

My #1 has been cruising around doe bedding area near shooting light. I’m starting to formulate a game plan to get on him.
    Vacation can’t come soon enough.

Crazy northern lights in central MN tonight. Haven’t seen them like this since May.

He’s still hanging around. Needs to stay on his feet a little longer.

Nice buck Justin, I like the split brow tine.

Got to love tree service workers that are cutting the trees/limbs away from the powerlines. They just keep walking all over the property not even close by the powerlines

I'm happy again. About two weeks ago I hit this buck. 40 yard shot, had the impression he was moving before the bolt got to him. Trailed him a few hundred yards with just bright blood wiped high on tall grass. Hoping it was just high non fatal shot. No sign of him for two weeks. I can tell him by his short uneven brows. I learned even with a fast crossbow I should aim low just like when I used recurves and compounds. Not sure but looks like a mark on high shoulder. He did move across the road to spot I 1st got pictures of him. I feel like hunting again now lol. WGI_0153.JPG

Glad he’s still walking around. Hopefully you’ll get a chance to finish what you started. That’s a great buck.

Went out last night to plot that was half clover and other half is brassicas. Deer seemed to be eating some of each. Two small bucks put on a show sparring. Temp was 71, seemed to warm to be hunting.

Really dry here, waterhole at it dried up, I've been hauling water to it the last two weeks. Sometimes I think I'm crazy for the things I do to hunt deer. IMG_1970.JPG

Put down a 3.5 year old this morning. Should gross around 90" not a monster, but we get 3 buck tags and I'm ready for some deer dogs and jerky. Shot it off my parents farm which has some genetics issues with big 7 points. This buck was similar last year.
