Wanted to share a photo sequence from a few weeks ago when I shot my two hogs. Within a couple minutes, two dead hogs lol.

Checked a couple of my cams last night, and ran out of time due to helping my buddy build his rifle stand. I'll be heading back to my lease hopefully Saturday and checking more cameras and possibly doing more pig control. Unfortunately, only had one shooter buck pass through, but picture quality is terrible to post. Hoping for better pics come this weekend on my 6 other cameras out.

that's an AWESOME series. Great shot. I've long thought that if you're going to take a quarter-to shot you should aim -in front of- the near shoulder and you'll shred heart and at least one lung.

I've never hunted hog before- are they normally that indifferent to one dying right in front of them?

They don't care when one goes down. That's why I would rather use a bow, so it's silent and have no idea what's hitting them. Usually they will run off once one is hit, but they will usually come back for a second look.

I don't play when it comes to shots on them, either have to neck shoot them, or head shot them so they just drop. Looked like a geyser coming up spraying out both ends. Truly lived to our team name "blood thirsty savages"

Yes. I am so glad you mentioned that! I need to find my old phone and power it up to see which app that was so I can download it to my new one.
I liked it; I found it to be pretty accurate. I am a big believer in moon phase based movement (outside of the rut.)

I gotta start packing up, next time I post it will either be LFTS; or poss. some camera pics tomorrow afternoon. I get signal on my laptop aircard just not my phone carrier up there.

Good luck to all this weekend!

time to hunt lite - it's still on my old phone. When I connect my old phone to wifi, the app is still active but I also can't find it on the play store.
    WTF?

    EDIT/UPDATE-

use the google browser, search time2huntlite and it takes you to the web page with a link to download the app. It works

I've got friends that do that with dogs. I've never been apart of a hunt like that, but its f'n intense when they release the pit bulls to catch them. A lot of guys will catch the boars and cut their nuts and release them so they can't breed. Talk about an adrenaline rush holding onto a 150-300+ Lb pig! Crazy...

@dnoodles I couldn't help myself this weekend and picked up the new wasp hv. Never shot a fixed blade head before but I figure with two extra sets of blades included, it seemed like a good deal. Ready to see how these fly this year!
