dnoobles for Captain sounds good to me, also i like the Savages name.

Well finally got out to our property this past weekend. And Def need to head out again before season starts (even tho i'm not sure it will happen)
In areas we cleared last year the weeds got super thick, so will need to clear them to get a better view / shooting lanes in areas. Got some good deer signs throughout the woods. Only time will tell what we have running around.

Still have to get my bow restrung.... just not enough hours in my day. A little about me (since someone else did this)
I'm 31, have 3 kids, 2 girls 8 and 6 and a son who's 1. I'm an Operations Manager for an Interiors Company. We build over head storage racks for Shuttle buses, as well as the overhead lighting/advertisement units for an All Electric City Bus. So 50+ hours in the norm. But on top of that, I also have a small woodworking business i run with my wife. So my days are pretty full.

I'm ready for October to get here, because the wife knows where i'll be every weekend. We have a small 20+ acre (5 of which are wooded) plot of land in West Michigan (Lake Oddessa) All the AG fields around us are Beans this year, so early season should be fairly good. Just looking forward to being in a tree, and seeing some deer movement.

Just checking in boys. SW PA hunter here. Hoping to help the cause. I will at least get some doe points for you, but intel coming back now is not looking good. Might have to go rouge and find some new spots. Good luck everyone!

Yes, should be a huge difference...was last year anyway. There is literally no water sources any where near by. Was also pretty cool to watch the yearlings playing in the water! Tried to get a picture to upload but had some technical difficulty [IMG]

Well I think we have enough votes for majority to have the team name and official captain? Lets roll with it my fellow savages :evilgrin:

    from the Rules post:

Once the Teams are assigned, each member will have two weeks to make a post, signing-in to their respective Team’s thread. After the two week mark any member that hasn’t checked in can be replaced with an alternate at the Captain’s discretion. Once the call is made for a replacement, it cannot be undone.

So if bbslyr doesn't check in by Sunday, I will send the Admin (I think it's Kaufman again) a request for a replacement.

Anyone do any graphic design? I was thinking of something along these lines (I don't know how to use graphic design/photoshop stuff)

    BLOOD THIRSTY
    TEAM SIX
    SA V AGES

Only with it centered and with an arrow coming down splitting Blood/Thirsty and Team Six; with the head as the "V" in savages

Hey all, looks like we have a great team. I'll mainly be hunting in Ohio this year with a quick trip to Oklahoma for muzzleloader season and possibly a few trips to WV. Hunt all private ground and we have some whoppers running around this year on multiple properties. I'll upload some pics once I get some time.

What kind of broadheads is everyone using this season? I'll be slinging the spitfire maxx and the XXX. I am also torn on a fixed blade set up this year and may go with a magnus ser razor or wasp HV. Never shot a fixed blade before, but I have so many hogs on my lease this year, I'd rather be slinging a fixed at them bastards vs my mechanical heads.

I need to change my signature line.
Changed my arrows to Black Eagle Renegade 250s, and also will be shooting G5 DeadMeats alongside my Muzzy HBs. I also bought a pack of RamCat original fixed heads and also still have some of the A-Tacs.

    I'm a well-documented broadhead floozie.

TAW is still hovering about 510gr.

The ramcat pivoting head was pretty intriguing to me as well as a fixed blade, have you shot that one? I look at BHs all the time. I'm always wanting to try something new out even though I may not even have a problem with the existing ones. I'll be curious on that deadmeat head, they sure are proud of them!

work for me; better than anything I can do!

I haven't shot either the DeadMeat or the RamCat.

I hope to give you a progress report on all of them!

I can tell you the Muzzy HBs are stone cold killing machines. I have destroyed every deer I have hit with them.

The A-Tacs are a little small for my taste. I missed the first deer I shot at last season (a doe) and it buried into the sand and hit a rock and was ruined. The second was a small buck that I absolutely smoked with a pass through and also buried into the sand and basically ruined. The buck dies w/in 80 yards, but the blood trail was pretty scant for the majority of that.

I was able to re-sharpen that head to killer status but no where near as sharp as when new.

Seems like a very good elk head though.

I volunteer to come down and help you decimate them hogs!

C'mon with it man. This one of my protein pens after they got in and destroyed it. Many, many more pictures like this all over my lease.

Well I was fortunate to get out and do some dove hunting this weekend. Only shot a couple. They weren't flying very well but it felt good to pull the trigger!
