It really depends where I am hunting

    • A 120-inch buck from the public land close to my house in LA would make the cover of magazines lol.
    • In Illinois, we've killed between 130's and 180's
    • Last year in Oklahoma I killed a true 6-point that went 113" but there are some very nice bucks
    • Mississippi could be anything
    Examples from OK & IL:

    love that big 6!

varies for me as well. Last season in Wisconsin I recovered my biggest buck to date at about 115 (taxi is taking his sweet time.) But there are several up there every year go 150+ on camera. I let this gorgeous 125-ish 2yo walk up there in 2017 o. 11 points at 2.5 - of course never saw him again after rifle.

Same property, same season- this bach group was also all hanging out up there

there's a couple more up there in that range this season, but I'll keep those in my back pocket until one hits the dirt.

In Michigan, I've shot and lost a couple that would go at least 130-140, and usually see 1-2 each season that will go 150+. My old man killed a 187" 12 with his rifle back in 2009, and in 2012 one of the old guys in our camp dropped an ancient 11 with his crossbow that went 145. So don't let anyone tell you public land in lower MI can't grow big bucks.

Realistically if I have the chance I'll take anything over 130 this year on either public or private.

Here are a few of mine on camera this year. I'm missing pictures of some of my bigger deer ( not pictured)for about a month now on some spots due to a camera being stolen and sd card taken out of one camera . I'll post some of them this season if they show back up.

A little bit about myself. As you saw above, I am an amateur videographer and really enjoy filming my hunts. My YouTube channel is Guaranteed Country.

I am 34 years old. Primary occupation is the Director of Member Services for a large electric cooperative in Illinois. I am also an EMT-B and am on call about 36 hours a week on it.

Currently have a 4.5 yr old boy named Trapper. A 20 month old beautiful girl named Beau and I have another daughter due on Christmas this year.

I have been blessed to have some good fortune in the deer stand over the past couple of years. Shot two nice 8 pointers last year. The year prior I shot an 8 point doe which was awesome. I really enjoy shooting mountable bucks but my wallet could handle a break :).

I hunt several different properties in Illinois throughout the state, all on private land. Season opens on October 1, but before I get in to deer season mode, I plan on hopefully smacking some doves, geese and squirrels before switching gears.

Look forward to getting to know you all better this season. Now that I know teams have actually been picked, I will be on the thread more.

I am excited to hunt Iowa this year. Drew a tag after a four year wait. I got a nice 155" off this property last time. I hunt PA hard but do get to hunt Ohio. Usually make a trip out wet at lest twice a season. I love this time of year
