MN/Kyle* GFY Camp* Gr8atta2d DropTine 249 UPbowhunter* What's up guys? When's everyone's season? I'm heading down to Kansas to hunt the archery opener with of the guys from hitlist outdoors so that will be a hell of a time. Birds are startin' to heat up down there from what I hear. I will have 2 tags for Rios. Then in Minnesota I get 2 weeks in May, but hopefully I can score one in KS for the team.
Hello I'm here. I didn't realize the teams were picked already. Maybe they should post something on the main forum? My season is 5 days from May 11-15. I only have one tag. This is somewhat of a late season although we still have snow on the ground here. Any suggestions methods to late season thunderchickens?
I did'nt relize either that the teams were up. Our season doesent open til the end of April, and my first tag isnt til the 30th. good luck guys.
The boy and I will be going out tomorrow morning into a nonhunting area loaded with birds to film and call some birds and practice for the opener. Trying to work the bugs out of filming and bowhunting from the blind. If we get any good footage I will try and post a link tomorrow.
Scored in KS! Nice tom! I'll post pics later on this afternoon after 8 days of hunting and the twelve hr drive home, I'm beat.
Alright way to set the standard. Congrats. Looking forward to the story and pics. I still have over a month till my season and I am really looking forward to it.
Here is my first Rio taken in KS: 19 lbs-8 1/4" beard-1" spurs. Your score is 19 + 10 + 10 + 16.5 = 55.5
Nice work Kyle, I got a week til my sons youth day then another week after that til I start. great job man.
My 3 year old and I roosted 3 toms last night and set the ground blind up. My opener is today hope to Bullhead a long beard at sunrise this morning.
Well, I shot at a sweet longbeard at a mear 5 yards today, but the ol bullhead nicked the blind window! Im filming all my hunts this year for a production company and its all on video! Self filmin is much harder than it seems. Bad shot no doubt, oh well got this week and all sats in May to get it done.
My season opens on Wednesday and closes on Sunday. I think I have a good set-up with the blind on a field edge next to a trail that is coming out over winter wheat.. The weather looks okay. A little too warm for the start but then cools off. I'm taking my son hunting (he will be 4 in july) for the first time on Wednesday and I can't wait. We have been praciting the box call together and he is definitely going to be doing some calling. I can't wait boys.
