Found a decent shed yesterday. It was from last year, but barely chewed on. I can't get the pic from the cell to upload. If anyone knows how to post, pm me your # and I'll send it to ya.

I have called three guys in two days, 2 in Idaho, 1 in Montana trying to locate an area with shed huntable snow levels... looks like I will be shed hunting next weekend up near Kalispell Montana.. snow isnt too deep up there! As for this weekend, I am not sure what to do.. still 14-15 standing inches after last nights light sprinkle of rain at the house.

Confirmation in, Kalispell Montana bound for whitetail sheds next weekend! I am looking forward to hooking up with my cousin over there. He says he has some good areas we can hit! We've had rain again here last night.. the snow is melting at a pretty good here, I am hoping by the weekend I can get into some lower elevation areas and shed hunt here.

Britney and I made out out Saturday afternoon. Britney had a good outing and found 4 sheds. I picked up one busted oldy. The snow just isn't going away anytime soon. It was nice to get out though !!!! We put on about 4 miles or so and Britney did good.

Went shed hunting Saturday and Sunday. Nothing Saturday, but Sunday I found this.

My friend found this shed, 74 inches with the G4 broke off.

While I'm posting pics, here is the 1st dead head I found earlier this year.

I hope you have good weather for your trip, Troy. Saturday my friend and I are going to look for the other side to the shed he found. After that we are going to hit a few small tracts that have produced for us in the past.

The flooding has pushed a local river over its banks and ran alot of deer out of the bottoms. Had a customer tell me yesterday that he saw 70+ deer in a herd on Sunday, many still carrying at least one side. I found that kinda odd....

We made it out this afternoon. Still quite a bit of snow but we found a couple spots to walk. No luck in the first area. Tyler found a decent 4 pt shed in the second area. I found this little set...

Britney got cold when the wind picked up so we decided to head back to the truck and call it a day. We hated to quit but we want her to have fun and not be miserable. We didn't go 60 yards when I spied a massive shed sticking out of the snow ( 20 5/8 ). It is off a buck we have two sets from the last two years. Tyler scoured the area real fast while Brit and I headed back to the truck. Still a lot of snow so hopefully we find the other side when it melts.

    Hey Hey Guys
Been a while since I've been out,and I was out Sunday for 6 hours snowmobiling and came across 6 bull moose and about 10 whitetail bucks that all still had their head gear on. Now that is about 30 miles from where I hunt and the snow was still 3 feet deep on the fields. I actually tracked tracks about 50 yards back into the bush from the river banks and fence lines and never found a dang piece of bone. Still to much snow for my liking and there calling for more. March usually is the month for most snowfall here in Alberta, luckily we haven't got any as of yet. Good luck team mates ,Like Troy said earlier out here in the West were doomed to find much because of the late snow. I'll continue to keep at it though.

I am amazed they are still carrying up your way. We finally got some melting going on but tomorrow through Wednesday they are talking snow. Possibly a foot of the white stuff. I hope they are wrong !!!! Not looking good for warm temps for the rest of the month.

I made it out for a little bit after work and came up with nothing. Wasn't a great area but still needed to be checked just incase.

I haven't heard from Troy in a while so no idea if he is doing any good or not.

    Dave

I've got your dead head listed. So far we haven't found any dead bucks. Normally we find 5 - 8 a year. We are finding a few winter killed fawns and does.

We have found two fawns that were pulled down by the coyotes. Blood and hair all over.
