I know a very good shed hunter in Maryland. Beside hitting the trees... he seems to find a lot of his sheds in grassy area on the edge of the trees. Our deer like browsing on certain grasses.

Try to find out what they are feeding on and look for recent sign. The more the activity the better.

If you have any cropland... check the fields and edges.

    Good luck

CC MD ? Carroll County? My parents live just above Finksberg off 32.

I was down on Saturday and found some sheds in Howard County.

The last couple weekends have been nasty as far as temps/wind to get Britney out. Not sure if we will make it out today with the strong winds and tomorrow we are back in the deep freeze. Tyler is at college and was given a shed report. I suspect if next weekend is nicer... he will be home.

Until then... I need something to do during my dinner breaks. :D

Most of us here in Illinois have been covered by the shed hunting killer of the white stuff! With some 4 foot or so snow drifts I think we will be on stand still for a bit!

Yeah, I feel for you guys, I've been following it on the news.. Gonna be a lot of burried bone out there.. Usually its like that out here in the Rockys..but the shed Gods are smiling on us this year, no snow as of right now.. I've gotta take advantage of it before we get pounded again.. crazy.. over a 100 inches in 08 and 09... here.. then last year El Nino blew in and we got very little snow accumulation.. this winter has been STRANGE.. big snows.. then big heat waves and it all melts like spring run off.. followed by cold snaps..

Alright Troy !!! Great job on the finds... especially the moose paddle !!

Tyler is home for the weekend. We are going to hit it hard tomorrow. Sounds like a great day for tromping in the snow.

Found another yesterday, long day. Only one shed, the area had been hit pretty good, lots of tracks in the snow but they missed this nice 60+ 5x side..
