Good Luck on Saturday @alenhard15 There should still be some snow left, so you should be able to see plenty of tracks for setting up.
My Dad headed back to Ohio yesterday morning. I got a text from him at 1:30 saying he was ready to come home. When he got there, he went out and changed his camera card and laying 8 feet from the camera was one side of the only target buck that was left for him to go after. I told him he could still go after it as long as it had the other side. I'm sure his taxidermist could put it back on. Definitely frustrating for him. The surprising thing is we have his shed from last year on the other side. He said it doesn't lo0k much different other than more mass.
Awesome looking shed! Always tough getting out there this time of the year still after a buck. We got about 4 inches of snow so I can’t wait for tomorrow!
Have been getting a group of deer on camera on my foodplot the last two evenings in daylight, going to set up there tonight instead of public
I ended up see all of my target bucks but they were 150 yards away. Bachelor group seems to have reformed. Other than that only saw 1 doe (again way too far away) Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Here’s hoping… I film my hunts so at least i got some good footage Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My season is done in WI and I’ll be eating buck tag soup, but had a great season overall. Sorry I couldn’t put some more points on the board. Sat on Sunday in 0 degrees and saw some doe and a few bucks but nothing big enough in range. I’ll feel really bad if we lose by 125 or less, but alas, I’m sticking with my standards of what I want to shoot at this stage in my hunting life. Hopefully, those of us still able to hunt can pull off an eleventh hour comeback because I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this team. Probably my favorite year in the contest so far for sure. I’ll be hanging around and checking the thread occasionally, but probably won’t be posting that much more. It’s been fun gents! Hopefully we can pull it off and keep the team together.
Hey Aaron, Sorry to hear you are eating Buck Tag soup! No need to apologize for not putting those points up, stay true to what you want to shoot and best of luck next year! the prep starts now!
Don't beat yourself up Aaron. I have the exact same standards and have eaten tag soup 3 years in a row before. A trophy is different to everybody, that's why I always said, shoot what make you happy and gives you a thrill. I have too many 125" bucks on the wall and it took a guy in Ohio telling me one day, that said "you know if you keep shooting them you never will get a big one". He was absolutely right because they were never allowed to get another year older. Thanks for putting in the time.
I've looked at the Winghome Solar Battery Packs but have not bought any. I will say that it does look like it takes pretty good pics.
12 Days left before the contest ends. We definitely gave them a run for it. I do appreciate everyone's participation throughout this season. I know there were many highs and lows but as a team I think we did really well. I don't know if anyone is still after it other than Adam but if you are best of luck.
Apologies to the team I wasn’t able to help any this year. Season closed here in Kentucky. I gave it my all the last weekend but didn’t see anything close. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
